Our dd turns 11 on april 4th and she said last night "you know what we should do for my bday? Go to disney". I mentioned it to DH and his answer was "you guys should go". What??? am I crazy to think we could plan a short trip (thur/fri thru tues/wed) in a few weeks? Anyone ever done this?

You need to pack an extra outfit for YOU in one of the carryons......if you end with barf/poop you'll want to change :)

How long do we need to allow for driving?

Family of 5, 3 kids ages 9 (girl) and 2 boys 15 and 19. We're planning on going to dtd on a non park day and I've heard we just need a half day. I'm not sold that everyone would love disneyquest so I'm thinking splitsville and dinner with shopping before. Are there other activities/things to see?

Things like air boats/zip lining, etc.....any where that has deals? Our boys aren't excited about disney and I'm trying to find extra awesome things to do on our non park days that aren't $900 for the 5 of us, lol.

The same thing happened with our daughter on our last trip...she was 2 and it was the worst stomach bug ever!!!! She's 9 and we're finally going back and I'm paranoid someone is going to get sick again.

I'd guess there would be. We've priced out pickup/drop offs at different locations in the past and it was a huge charge (like hundreds of $$) more than the same location for both.

We're flying from Providence to MCO in 2 weeks and found it was cheaper than Logan. We're on Southwest too, they were a few hundred less than JetBlue.

We currently have a full size car reserved for July 19-26 at MCO for $235.10 Is this as good as I'm going to get it for? I'm not brand picky as long as it's at the airport.

Is there such a thing? We currently have a full size sedan reserved with Alamo for Sat 7/19-26 for $235 total (tax, etc included). Is this as good as it's going to get? Anyone know of any deals at MCO for my dates?

We're leaving in 22 days and our 9yr old dd still has no idea!!!

Back to add that we stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean, the resort was great, as was the horse back riding trip we took (off site) but the shopping trip (off site) was what scared me. Both offsite trips were booked thru Sandals.

We went to jamaica too (for our honeymoon) and the "market shopping trip" was scary!! As far as rooms try to get an ocean view. We had a view of a courtyard and a small tree....not good at all!

I wasn't able to book ours at midnight.....I went to bed around 12:30 when it still wasn't available and then the next morning I read that it's 1am. I was able to get our top 3 rides at 8am but not the times I wanted. Sooo......if at 12 it isn't open stay up a little later!

I have the capital one *********** card too...1.5% on everything. I earned enough booking our flights/tickets to buy a new suitcase for the trip that I needed to buy anyways....now it's free :)

So they can add a day at DTD prior to enter a park? Next trip I'm buying any and all days I think we might use, lol.

I think what they're saying is you can upgrade individual tickets, just not until you've used the first day. You can't do it ahead of time.
