    Disneyland Ride Simulation Games

It looks like you simply play using the non-logged Guest status (You can't post your score). It's a pretty complex simulation as you need to micro manage all aspects of the ride operation. Pay attention to the text screens on the right of the screen as they let you know when things are ready...

DS is 38.5 inches tall. With shoes on will he make the 40 inch height requirement?

He really did made the 48" mark without it...when standing ABSOLUTELY straight up (w/heels and back flat against a wall). He just needed a "buffer" (about 1/4") to make up for poor posture. :rolleyes1 The problem was the way that the measuring signs are designed there was no place for him to...

DS is 38.5 inches tall. With shoes on will he make the 40 inch height requirement?

I had a similar situation with my son (7) this past trip. In his case he's 46 1/2" tall and needed a little boost to make the 48" barrier in order to ride California Screamin'. Our attempted solution was a pair of Heely's (with the wheels removed and inserts in place). Also added some gel...

Rides for 8 and 5 year olds

It really depends on your kids and what you know might freak 'em out. Every child is different and what might scare an 8yr old boy might not even bother their 6yr old sister. My 7yr old son for example, has no fear of any of the "thrill rides" that his mother refuses to get on, but does not...

    Del sol inn

:scratchin Out of curiosity, what were some of the concerns from those past reviews? Cleanliness, quality of breakfast, attitude of staff, etc.? Based on the negative reviews from the previously mentioned travel sites, most of these were based on what seemed to me unrealistic expectations...

    Del sol inn

I'm not sure where all of these "bad" reviews others keep mentioning are coming from, since I can find a good number of positive ones (from places like traveladvisor.com, yahootravel, expedia, etc.), but from personal experience it wasn't that bad at all and an excellent value. :thumbsup2 We...

    Stuff off the beaten path?

My older daughter ended up looking a lot like her mother, but my son (and nephew) weren't too excited about how they were projected to look in a decade or so. :rotfl: We kept a picture of his result of what he'll look like when he's 'a man' which he absolutely hates!

    Stuff off the beaten path?

It's similar to the Turtle Talk with Crush over at DCA but more of a one on one experience. You start by signing up on a waiting list if you are interested in talking to Stitch. The wait will vary depending on how crowded it is but each 'visit' runs about 5 minutes each. When it is your turn...

    Stuff off the beaten path?

Just a couple that can take up a lot of time when you aren't in a rush: DCA's Redwood Creek Challenge Trail My son can easily spend an hour or more here. Us older folks might not be up to chasing them around this area:crazy2: , so be prepared. DL's Innoventions Another place to burn off...

    Monorail: "one-way"?

I assume this is the case when referring to the Monorail at WDW. However, the DLR Monorail does in fact go to DTD and is currently only a one-way between Tomorrowland and DTD while the Nemo ride is under construction.

    Best Breakfast Buffet??

Lilo & Stitch wouldn't be a complete "Hawaiian" themed buffet if it didn't include rice.:) Rice is a staple here in Hawaii, you'd be hard pressed to find anyplace that didn't serve it all meals. Even the McD's here have breakfast platters that includes rice. BTW- The L&S Breakfast Buffet...

    Del Sol Inn

We just stayed there this past October and had no problems and have recommended it to others. Positives:thumbsup2 : Location (third closest to crosswalk) Large Rooms (when compared to similarly priced rooms in the area) Price (about $69 a night) Quiet (located back from the main blvd...

LEGO LAND for a 7 yr old -too old???

I took my DS (7) went last year and again this year with his 9yo cousin. It's still one of my son's favorite places to go, (he ranked it higher than DLR last year). His older cousin on the other hand at first was not so impressed (I think he thought initially that Legoland was just for 'little'...

    Seriously weird concern!

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus,...and a clown killed my dad. :lmao: OK, I can't take credit for the above. It's one of my favorite Jack Handy "Deep Thoughts"...
