So we have been to Disney a ton..but haven't done an on property stay since they started that Magic Band system. We are checking in on a Sunday for 7 night. Have 8 Day tickets. My question is when can we start using the bands and get in the parks? Do we have to check in at the hotel first...

That sounds perfect...we're not going till mid August. Gives me a little hope it' won't be unbareably packed.

So if your planning a day to AK and want to be there at rope drop, heading directly to FoP...what time should you plan on being at the gates? I assume people start to line up well before rope drop..just wondering what time they usually start lining up?

well you'll spend more than $30 per place but Jiko is the best answer to your question. hands down the best resturant for late night dinner without kids. the servers are excellent, thewine list fantastic. and the food will wow you.
