Help with getting rid of cable

Thank you! Comcast is due to come out next week. I just had my husband check the outside box and it looks fine. It seem to be a cable going to the box in one of the rooms, although I thought we had checked those. Hopefully that's the problem. We still want to get rid of cable. It looks like...

Help with getting rid of cable

We currently have Comcast and are having major issues with the screen freezing, being extremely pixelated and DVR not working correctly. Many calls to Comcast, many times of unplugging and plugging back in, doing a reset from them and nothing is helping. So we really want to get rid of it, don't...

THINGS TO PACK -Let's Pack Together

The Shout color catching sheets are amazing! I never knew they existed. My oldest son started buying Hollister shirts in the very bright floral patterns...I didn't realize one went in the washer and we ended up with some pink clothes:mad:. As I was at the store getting another bottle of...

Your best & worst of online Christmas shopping

I ordered Lego sets from Lego.com, Walmart, Amazon and Toys R Us. Walmart took the longest to receive from. I had the free trial of Prime with Amazon and while it worked great for the legos the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book took like 12 days. I kept checking the tracking and it was even at our UPS...

    Vitamix blender?

I don't know about the Vitamix as I have the Blentec but it does blend them into the smoothie. We made strawberry daiquir's a couple weeks ago that were amazing and no seeds. I use raspberries every morning in a smoothie and they come out very smooth.

    Help freezing food please

I make stuffed shells all the time, I must boil the shells a little under what the box says. After I stuff them I line them on a cookie sheet and freeze, then throw them in a ziplock bag. It's so easy to just pull put as many as you need for a quick dinner or lunch. You could even assemble them...

Does anyone eat "clean" on a budget?

It's hard to stay on budget and eat clean but we do what we can. The majority of the budget goes to grass fed beef, pork and chicken, eggs from only pastured hens, raw honey and raw milk, non farm raised salmon. I wont buy eggs that say vegetarian fed or cage free, they may be cage free but...

    Homemade ice cream anyone????

We bought a Cuisinart ice cream maker at Costco a couple of years ago, it came with two of the freezer bowls so I keep those in my chest freezer that's in the garage. I'll make two different ice creams and as soon as I transfer the ice cream to containers to freeze I wash and dry the freezer...

The Blendtec is the best gift I ever received! We bought it two Christmases ago from Costco, I got two containers with it(the wild side jar and the regular) and it was maybe around $360. Favorite kitchen equipment/gadget and how much did it cost?

Without a doubt my Blendtec, worth every single penny, close to $400 maybe, my husband spent. Got it for Christmas 2011 and use it all time. Love my Le Creuset pots too.....maybe $300 or $400 for all that I got. Wusthof knife set is great, unsure of the price as we got them through...

    Teen Acne AND Excema

Tea tree oil is great for acne...you can buy face products containing tea tree oil or buy tea tree oil and dilute with distilled water to make a toner type product. Witch hazel is a great toner to use also. Coconut oil is a great moisturizer, especially in the winter, it's all I use for my face...

Question about skin cream (best budget brand for fine lines and sun damage)

I would suggest coconut oil....you can get a jar for between $6-12 at most healthfood stores or grocery stores. It improves the connective tissue of the skin. I have only used coconut oil as an all over body moisturizer for almost 3yrs now and my skin has never looked or felt better. I use it to...
