    !Hola! Bring Your Own Alcohol?

We do as well. We do a grocery store stop & pick up beer. We always buy cans because we walk around the resort and don't want to risk accidentally breaking a bottle. All resorts also sell liquor in their stores so that you can enjoy an adult beverage in your room, if you choose to.

(CLOSED) Disney's BOARDWALK INN and VILLAS INFORMATION THREAD

Can anyone tell me how long the day beds are in a standard room? We're considering a standard C/L room with me, DH, DS4, DS9 and my mother, but no one wants to sleep with the kids, so my mother would take the day bed. She doesn't move once she's asleep, but I'm wondering if the day bed is...

    just booked Family Magic tour

The kids don't need to be overly familiar with the movies, the guide helps out a lot. But I doubt you'll time for Belle before the tour. We arrived for EMH at 8 am and couldn't see Belle before the tour. You need to check in about 15-30 minutes prior to the tour. They start RIGHT ON TIME and...

    just booked Family Magic tour

We did it in 2008 and again in Feb 2013. They switched things up a bit which was great. DS8 was 4 in 2008 and had a blast. So we thought we'd try it again with our DS3 and he loved it. But we did luck out this year. There was our family of 4 then a group of 8 or 10....but they didn't show and we...

Size restrictions on Universal rides - annoying!

I'm 5'2" and about 130 lbs and when I rode FJ earlier this month with my 8 yr old, I was told I had to sit on the outside. Could it be a balance thing? Because I'm pretty small but I was bigger than any one else in my little cart. The same thing happend to my husband who's smaller as well.

    Car seats

For my youngest, we bring his car seat and he uses it on the plane. We're Canadian too and unfortunately, CDN carseats don't have the same sticker showing that they are FAA approved. Has to be an American car seat if you're flying out of the US, if you're flying out of a CDN airport...

Stroller for a 6 year old???

I have a Maclaren and I can't tell you how many times I've lent it to friends going to WDW for their "older" kids. I would love to have someone push me around in a stroller if I could get away with it!! Some kids just don`t have the stamina for all that walking and I`ve always found the...

Only other planning addicts will understand...

I'm a huge planner too, so this monkeywrench in my plans would not impress me. However, we go to Disney often enough that my husband knows not to mess with my plans. In the beginning, I take my husbands input as to what he'd like to see and where he'd like to eat, I work it in, but once the...

    Help me out Disney Pros

I used the pacifer clips, but instead of clipping a pacifier to the child, I would put a light weight toy where the pacifier goes and clip it to the stroller so that we werent constantly picking up toys that got tossed from the stroller. It worked with cloth books too. I always have a ton of...

    Traveling with 11 people

I've done the big trip with family twice and we stuck together for the most part but we did split up for a couple hours here & there in the parks depending on what each of our kids/families needed. Then we'd meet back up at a certain time. Much like the BBB or CRT idea you have. But keep in...

    AKL or WL?

We've stayed at both and I preferred AKL. We had a car but didn't use it much. I really didn't notice that the bus ride was much longer to MK than any other resort. Our busses were almost never packed, we always had a seat. The playground at AKL is really close to the pool, whereas at WL you...

Anybody ever slept at MCO Airport?

I think he's making it up too. Come on...$40 is causing you to sleep in an airport on purpose?? I don't buy it! But I also can't stop reading either! :rotfl: If he's telling the truth, to each their own I guess. He's not hurting me or anyone else.

My Current Experience with Disney Trip Insurance

I'm Canadian too. My gold card has out of country medical coverage and I have coverage with my benefits at work as well. You may want to check other coverage before you buy more of the same.

POR or the cabins at Fort Wilderness

We just stayed at the cabins last month and was shocked at how much I loved it!! So much room and super quiet. Lots to do at the campground too. We've stayed at POR twice and have no complaints FW was a blast. We rented a golf cart offsite for half the price. Great to see the electric light...

My Current Experience with Disney Trip Insurance

I never buy Disney's insurance. I just always use my Gold Mastercard which includes similar, vague coverage. As long as I charge 75% of the cost of the trip to the card, it will cover us....somewhat. I've read the policies over very carefully and travel insurance has a ton of loop holes and I'm...

BC standard room vs. BC Studio Villa

We're looking to stay at the BC this year in May. But I can't decide between the BC resort in a regular room or going to a Studio in a Villa. We've never stayed at the BC. The price is basically the same. We're a family of four, myself, DH, DS7 and DS2. Which one should I choose?

    Delta?

We fly Delta a couple times a year and have no issues. They do change the times a bit, but for us it was only by a few minutes.

    Towncars - recommendations!

We've used Murray Hill Transportation many times and never had a issue. But we usually have a pretty large group and get a van, not a town car. Although once we have a beautiful SUV.
