Wow....lots of great information from ALL in this thread !! - Lucky Rabbit & Trey (HG), thanks for the extra info and the detailed info. Good to know that Pooh Corner is still operating (& mmmm....I forgot about TiggerTails :) ). Also good to hear that there are a couple of solid Buffeteria...

Counter (Quick) Service for young men/big eaters. (In DL)

Carnivores. Two 19 year olds. They aren't looking for dainty or sit down. They want meat, & they want food that they can get & go. :) - The Corn Dog Cart is still at the end of Main St on right. (Correct?) - Is the place across from IASW (behind storybookland) still serving Knackwursts...

One Day Plan for this coming Thursday (or possibly Fri) for a one time DL Vet/Commando

Hydroguy....thanks for the quick response ! It was great getting your many tips thru the years & Alec & I did 3-4 (one-two day commando trips) using your info (from 08-11). Yes, I figured that a Thursday visit would be less productive (starting an hour late and an hour behind in FL). & will...

Hi all. It's been 10 years, but young Hound (formerly known as Padewan Alec) will be visiting on DL on Thursday (or Friday). He's 19, will be with a another 19 y/o buddy, & will want to ride the first 2-3 hours hard. - DL only (no DCA) - Will buy maxpass. Will want to utilize FP (obviously)...

    At DLR now, some thoughts

Great report Alvernon. :thumbsup2 I've also gone solo with an 8 y/o (at that time of year) & had a blast. Good info on the new normal of DLR. A couple of comments/question: - I like the HHM....& the regular HM. :) - Riding Screamin' 10 times (& BTMRR 10 times) sounds like a good plan...

First day is a Sunday afternoon. What to do?

You're welcome. :) Also, I haven't done this but others have mentioned this, & i like the idea.....ride around the park (or ride a stop or two) on the train. Have fun.

Candy Cane Inn or Ho Jos? Newbie Here...

Pink Budgie has a CCI super thread around here somewhere.....maybe she'll chime in. :) I think this is it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2532780 I've only done the standard room. It's fine for 2 adults or 2 adults and a small kid. Might be cramped with 4 or more though...

First day is a Sunday afternoon. What to do?

Don't do the following FL rides on a crowded afternoon (do them during MM or the first hour of a MWF day): - PP - Dumbo - Matterhorn. - Alice - Toady - Casey Jr. You can consider doing these rides in FL on a Summer afternoon (if the lines aren't too long): - Storybookland - Tea...

First day is a Sunday afternoon. What to do?

Welcome to the DLR Disboard! :hippie: First off, excellent post. Telling us dates, what hotel, ages of those visiting & what you already have planned, allows us to give you specific & accurate information & opinions. Comments below: Have a great time at Walt's park! :)

A DLR Guide for WDW Vets

So MK doesn't have: - Toady - the Matterhorn - the wonderful Storybookland - the very cool Alice - Casey Jr. - & the very underated Pinocchio. - & Snowy. (Plus superior versions at DL of 6-8 E & D ticket rides (plus DL has Indy). If a DLR vet had only 3-4 days to visit WDW, is...

A DLR Guide for WDW Vets

99 out of a 100 WDW Dis'ers who read this thread (& then visit Walt's park) gain invaluable information from this thread & swear by the accuracy of the information in this thread. You do realize that most folks who have posted in this thread have visited both WDW & DLR several times? (& HG...

Candy Cane Inn or Ho Jos? Newbie Here...

IMO, definitely. I've stayed at Hojo once & CCI twice (& Fairfield twice & PPH 3 times). If i was going with kids aged 2-9 & a mid afternoon swim (or evening swim) was very important (AND the price of Hojo was signifcantly less than the CCI) then I'd opt for Hojo. But....since I almost...

    Fastpass

Where have you been reading this? 99 out of 100 DIS DLR posters have been telling folks for weeks that FP return times are NOT being enforced at Walt's Park. Only at the resort in the swamp are FP times being enforced.....NOT at DLR. When or if this ever changes, it will be discussed in...

    Matterhorn

GREAT INFO!! Thanks Mary Jo. :hippie: And it makes sense, it drove me crazy when i'd see the front (or back) end of a sled go out empty (with lots of folks in line). :idea:I can see it now....."Hi hunny, while you & the tot ride dumbo, I'm gonna make a quick restroom stop.....back in...

    Early Admission (MM/EMH/APEE) Super Thread

Comments below: Yes you can enjoy MM on day of check in. (I've done it 3 times) You'll need to check in/ or go to the front desk (probably before 6am would be best) even though the room isn't ready.....& they'll go over the benefits & give you your passes.

    Good DL guidebooks?

This "DLR for the WDW vet" thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599 ..... is more organized, more informative & more current than any book (the rest of his tip threads are dead on as well). :thumbsup2 The price is right, too. :hippie:
