    Twin beds?

We have two rooms under our name - for one we want the queen, and one the twin beds. Does anyone know how to request the beds be made into twins, or can you do that when you get on board? The beds are made to convert into either, right? Thank you.

St. Maarten - what to see and do

Has anyone ever done the Sand Dollar snorkel trip in St. Maarten? How many people does it accommodate, and is it worth trying?

How was it for just adults?

Kids aren't seen as much as one might think, since many spend so much time in the kids club (there's even a private passageway for the kids attending kids' club activities as well). We traveled DCL before we had kids and loved it. Never felt that there were too many kids around, and there was...

Wanna-be cruiser wants to know what your 3 favorite cruiseship activites

    1. Watching kids play in the Mickey pool 2. Watching sun rise on Deck 10 (and that's incredible since I'm not typically a morning person) 3. Lounging in hammock on Castaway Cay, thinking I could be at work right now...lucky me! :cool1:

A ten year old's take on the "shorts" controversy!

I don't have this issue, as I live in Florida and can drive to the ship, but with the very pricey "per bag" charge that airlines are applying now to first AND second bags (as well as decreased acceptable weight of luggage), it's probably a little harder for people to pack a lot of pants, gowns...

    8-year olds in Oceaneer Club?

Actually, my younger one is 5, so they would be in the same activities. To be honest, it is mostly my 5-year old who balks at going unless his 8-yr old brother is with him (although my 8-year old (Jack) really wants to be with my 5-yr old (AJ) too). AJ says he does not want to go to the club...

    8-year olds in Oceaneer Club?

I have a 5-year old and a child who turns 8 two weeks prior to our cruise. The 8-year old wants to be with his brother in the Oceaneer Club, and although he will be of age for the Lab, other kids who are in the same grade will be in the Oceaneer Club and he would feel comfortable there. I see...

    Sailaway party question

I think the ship leaves around 5pm, but there is a safety drill around 4pm that everyone has to attend. If I've had early seating, I get to the ship early that day to board at noon and enjoy everything and unpack. That way I don't feel so rushed.

    Anyone get choked up?

We were leaving on the Magic in October 2006 when the Wonder was in dry dock (guess it was coming back from being in dry dock - rare to see them together), and as we left the port, the Magic starting playing its "When You Wish Upon A Star" horn. The Wonder acknowledged by playing its horn. They...

    Cat 9 question

Thank you, everyone, for the responses! And special thank you, Lauritagoddess, for the great picture! It is very helpful, and doesn't look as bad as I thought. I will book deck 1 since the deck 2 location seems to be under the bars. 'Course, I am so excited just to be going!!! I don't think I...

    Cat 9 question

Hello - I am booking a category 9 for an upcoming 7-day cruise, and I'm not sure whether to book on 2nd or 1st level. The rooms that are open on 2nd level seem to be in a noisier area, so not sure if it's better to shoot for the big window or smaller portholes in the first deck. Anyone have a...

5 hours to waste before boarding plane in orlando, have car, any suggestions?

The Premium Outlet shops that are close to Downtown Disney are fun for shoppers to walk around. Not too far from the airport. Also, Downtown Disney has Rainforest Cafe that has a jungle theme, which is fun for kids (sometimes a long wait, though). Next to Rainforest Cafe is a great Wolfgang...

Anyone have to cancel a cruise?

I just talked with my cousin and she said she'll read her policy. She was under the impression that she could cancel for any reason! I told her if we decide to go, we'll go regardless of the weather, so she'll probably do the same. All this talk makes me want to go on a cruise right now...

Anyone have to cancel a cruise?

Thanks! I have never gotten insurance since I live in driving distance and it's been mostly me and my husband, so I don't know much about it. I'll make sure they know this and that they read their insurance policy. Thanks for the advice!:thumbsup2

Anyone have to cancel a cruise?

Thanks! They're just freaking out, and they do have insurance so they can cancel if they want. But I told them the same thing - don't cancel now - just wait. Disney doesn't put its Guests in danger, so no worries about that! Just curious if anyone else is having this issue (then I can tell them...
