Royal Caribbean will be first to offer fully vaccinated cruise with sailings starting in Israel with its newest ship, Odyssey of the Seas

It's only for two cruise ships right now and is temporary (just for the Summer sailings), IIRC from RCL. DH and I were looking into booking another cruise for next year when I read RCL's recent announcement on their site. Both of us just got our first shot last week and will be getting our...

    Disney world April or December.

I've never done April before. The last trip my family and I took was the Christmas season back in 2012. We went the end of November into the beginning December. While it was during Pop Warner week, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. Obviously, things have changed in the last year...

    General Question on Closed Restaurants

It's been a long time since I last posted on the DISboards, so I have been out of the loop on many things. I apologize if this has already been brought up before and answered. That said, we are planning another trip for May of 2022. Last time we went was back in 2012. I've noticed that a lot...

Anybody watching "Marvel Agents of Shield"?

True. Unfortunately for DH and I though, there are way too many shows on that we just can't keep up with what we have DVR'd and those on Netflix. We DVR'd the 5th and final season of Falling Skies when it was on and we still haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Anybody watching "Marvel Agents of Shield"?

IIRC, I believe it was renewed partly because it's nearing the 100th ep. I just wish they would move the time slot back to where it was. Moving it like they did, IMO, is the reason for the lower ratings. As far as OUaT goes, we stopped watching back in 2012 due to our Disney trip. We were...

Anybody watching "Marvel Agents of Shield"?

DH and I have been watching since season 1 and we are still enjoying it. But I am wondering how they are going to keep the show going after this season.

Have you ever attended a Convention

I've gone to I-Con (Island Convention) for over 10 years before I stopped going. I-Con is a sci-fi/fantasy convention here on Long Island, NY. DH and I had met a lot of celebs over the years. And yes, I have gone dressed in "garb" at least once or twice.

Job hunting advice...agency vs. employer job listing

It would depend on what the temp agency's policy is. If it is in fact the same position and you have already applied to it directly, the agency may not forward your resume over to them to try and schedule an interview. When I was job hunting, I was looking on my own as well as being...

    HGTV shows?

I like House Hunters and Property Brothers. Yeah, I know it's all fake. But, I enjoy looking at the houses and seeing the different styles that are out there. DH and I don't own a home (hoping to someday) and seeing this helps us know what we might want to put in our own home. You know, kind...

How many years are you married? and how long did you date each other

Yes, but I bet it was worth it! We were dating or almost 7 yrs (just shy of it) when DH proposed. When we started dating, I was 16 and he was 17.

How many years are you married? and how long did you date each other

Sounds similar to what DH did. Only I was in Kindergarten and he was in 1st grade. He saw me on the school bus, went home to his mom and told her that there was this cute little blonde hair girl on the bus and he was going to marry her someday. He asked me out when we were in high school and...

How many years are you married? and how long did you date each other

12 years dating (started in high school) and 17 years married. We will be celebrating 30 years together July of 2017

    Long Island Disers!

DH looked at the projected path today and saw that it's path may have changed. So we might not get hit after all. Hope that's the case. Saturday is the only day we can go pumpkin picking and we always go to Harbe's Farm in Mattituck.

The best computer game you've ever played

Now there's a throwback (Apple II, IIe, IIgs)! I have to say the original Kings Quest series for PC.

    Moms: Rx or OTC Prenatal?

I went with the rx from my obgyn b/c it was cheaper. My copay through my insurance at the time was $5 for generic, which was a lot cheaper than getting the prenatal vitamins OTC.

    Long Island Disers!

We were in Pt Jeff last Wednesday and DH was Pokemoning as well. He wasn't the only one. I just stood there shaking my head, waiting for him to finish so we could start moving! We were there to kill some time before heading to Miller Place for a farewell dinner to DH's boss who is moving upstate.

    Something about your dad

My father has been gone for 8 years now (9 in October). I really miss him. He was always there for me and my brother. He coached our softball teams and helped us with our homework. Anytime any of his younger 9 siblings needed help, or if it was my brother or me, he was always there. For us...

is this dress ok for evening wedding reception?

ITA. Definitely club wear. However, there were at least 2 long flowery print dresses that look that they are straight out of the 1960's/1970's :scared: and one that looked like it came out of the early 1980's. I don't know what they were thinking!
