    Discounts offerred after making reservations

Most travel agents that specialize in Disney know when a discount is coming out, and are on the phone at 7AM EST that day changing all of their clients reservations over to the discounted rate. Disney Visa cardholders have been getting a 2 or 3 day advance booking window over everyone else...

Mousefest 2006, Dec 3-11, who will be there?

I'll miss you too John! This will be my 7th year at WDW during the first week of December. I'll be there solo since I can't pull DD out of school now that she's older. I'll be on the cruise and at the land portion both. I'll be working at the Mega Mouse Meet on Saturday, but I'll be glad to...

    AKL vs WL

I vote WL -- by a teeny, tiny, itty, bitty bit.... Why? ~ Location (boat to MK) ~ Electrical Water Pageant ~ Location (boat to CR & monorail) ~ Ranger Stan ~ Location (walking path to FW) ~ Staff But.... we NEVER go to WDW without a visit to Boma at AKL!

Is it too late for trip insurance?

The within 14 days refers to the time you have to purchase the policy to get a waiver of pre-existing medical conditions; however, there are policies (this is a relatively recent development) that will waiver the pre-existing condition clause as long as you purchase before you make your final...

    Traveling without both parents

I run into the same situation quite often as my daughter and I travel without my husband, and I too kept my maiden name. I always bring the notarized form along with her passport just in case. I do not bring her birth certificate. I have never been asked for the notarized form, but I'm not...

9 year old checking herself out of kids program

I am the poster child for overprotective Mom -- that being said, there was no way I was going to let me 8 year old check herself out of the kids club on our February cruise! We saw quite a few youngsters (I suspect they were older than 8 or 9) who were unsupervised roaming around making a...

Cozumel / Costa Maya...just wanted to pass this along

Disney has updated the February and March Western sailings to call on Costa Maya instead of Cozumel. From DCL's website: "It is our hope that additional itinerary changes will not be needed, as we continue to monitor the island of Cozumel's recovery." I'm on the 2/25 sailing of the...

Which moderate for DD age 3?

I don't think you will go wrong either way. But, if swimming and play is a big concern -- the Dig Site at CSR is fabulous and they have a really nice kids pool too! The play area there is perfect for a three year old. I believe the only zero entry pools are at AKL, the Poly and the BC...

    MVMCP Meet 2004

I'll be at MVMCP 12/9 and I'd love to do a meet. I'll be at BC 12/9 - 13 and offsite at the Sheraton World 12/6 - 9.

which dinner show would you go to see?

We did both dinner shows on our last visit. Personally, I preferred the more slapstick and down-home feeling of the Hoop Dee Doo. Of course, it was also pouring rain the night we did the Luau which meant the performers were not as close to us as they would have been in good weather.

A Question For Those Who Use CM Albums....

I also use CM albums because I think they are made better than any others on the market. I considered becoming a CMC but the company really does encourage the consultants to stress using ONLY CM in the albums. I use a combination of wallpapering and bare natural and black pages with borders --...

Sneak peek at Michaels coupons for next week

I just went to Micheael's in Manchester today -- and they have the new Jolee's Disney stickers. They are great. They (at least some of them) can also be found at www.mousememories.com Joy

    Resort Touring

Yes, you are. Last trip I took the bus from AK to CBR to check it out -- and then over to POR. We also toured Ft Wilderness, the Poly and the GF. We stayed on site six nights and only used 3 park hopper days and spent the rest of the time 'touring' and swimming. Have fun!

In my situation which resort would you choose?

No contest -- Wilderness Lodge! If you liked AKL -- you'll love WL. And with a 3 year old the launches and access to MK and FW are a lifesaver. Save your pennies by buying a 5 day PH and taking the day off to do 'free' stuff at Fort Wilderness on the MNSSHP day.

    VERY LATE check-in

You may have a tough time if the resort is busy -- because everyone else has already made the same request! Both of our late night check-in experiences left alot to be desired. Don't be afraid to ask to move if you are not satisfied with your room location -- we have done that on more than one...

    Most fun at Christmas

While WL is absolutely my favorite resort at any time -- the BC/YC has some fabulous decorations at Christmas and provides great access to EPCOT with all of it's World Showcase Christmas activities. Add to that character visits and carolers and it is a great place to be. GF has some great...

I think we may brave it as we just missed last years. But I'm sure it will be a big crowd!

    Disney Christmas album

We are at WDW from the 6th - 14th (6 - 10 at the Sheraton Vistana) and 11 - 14 at the BC. I'd love to meet any of you fellow scrapbookers who are at the world during our trip!

ACH! they are predicting a snowy weekend! I am headed out!

Okay, it snowed a measly two inches here and they called off school! Yes, it was slick and yes, everyone has forgotten how to drive in snow. When I told my DB in IL he said "I thought you lived in NH, where anything under a foot is considered flurries." I leave for WDW in 3 days! That...
