Any WDW fans been to Disneyland Paris?

I'm British too, and have been to DLP a lot, it's my favourite Disney park! It's just so beautiful. The queues ARE a lot pushier than in WDW, but you'll be fine as long as you're prepared to stake your claim and not let anyone push in front of you. Just say "NO" loudly! Because it's so...

    Bags on rides question

I always take a small backpack or crossover bag with me, and I've never had a problem taking them on any rides - I always put my backpack down by my feet, and put my leg through the strap, and it's fine. And crossover bags I just keep on me and put down the side of the seat - just make sure...

Arriving on Monday, and no-one's booked any transport!

Thanks for the reply :) Unfortunatley, none of us can drive, so renting a van isn't an option :( I was thinking about getting a Mears bus to the Embassy Suites, which are just down the road from the library, and walking from there. (There's a gig on at the library you see, we're not just...

Arriving on Monday, and no-one's booked any transport!

I'm arriving at MCO at 3.30pm on Monday with a group of 7, and having a slight panic because no-one's booked any transport from the airport (seriously, the one job I left to someone else!) We need to get to Orlando Public Library for 5pm, coould anyone reccomend the cheapest way of doing this? I...

help me plan my vegetarian dining for Disney and universal...9 whole days :)

Oooh, I'm going to LeakyCon, too :) I'm so unbelievably excited! I went to Infinitus last year, and stayed in RPR, we didn't have much money, and din't want to go far from the hotel to find food during the Con, so we ate as much as we could at the buffet breakfast, which lasted us for...

    New Iceland volcano

Fingers very much crossed for everyone flying out soon! I'm flying to Ireland tomorrow, and Florida in 6 weeks, so I'm keeping my eye on the news. I have family in Iceland though, and volcanic eruptions are fairly common there, obviously everyone's on edge because of last year, but there are...

Anyone flown with Virgin from Gatwick lately?

I flew last year, and I think it varies form plane to plane. I was on an older plane, which had films, although they were in the older format, which meant all the films started at the same time, and I had to wait for them all to finish before the next cycle began. A bit of a pain because by the...

    Extra Magic Hours verification?

Brilliant, thanks Mesaboy :) It's my first time planning a trip without my mum, and there's so much to consider! Being able to ask on these boards instead of spending hours on Google is a lifesaver!

    Extra Magic Hours verification?

I have a question about EMH, I thought I'd put it here to avoid spamming the boards... Can I use AM EMH on my last day, even though I'll have checked out? (staying in the POP in July) Thanks xx

Afternoon and Morning in MK, ticket help please?

I so want to show my friends a brilliant Disney experience, but I'm a little confused about base tickets for MK, and I'd appreciate any help anyone could offer! I'm flying from the UK to attend LeakyCon (an Harry Potter con over at Universal) in July, and me and my friends have an afternoon...

    Leakycon and crowds...questions

I'm going to LeakyCon this year, and I went to Infinitus last year, and TBH I think that the majority of people attending will be staying around the con during the days it's on. I'm sure the WWoHP (and Disney) will be fairly packed around that time, but I think that'll just be the July crowds...

Anyone from DIS going to Leakycon?

I'm also going to LeakyCon! In fact, that's the main reason for the trip, but I'm definitley squeezing a day or two in MK in as well. I'm in Orlando the 11th-19th, and I'm coming from the UK with a big group of HP nerds, but since I'm the only one with any Disney/Orlando experience it's up...

    Wynfield Inn I-drive??

I stayed there about 10 years ago too, and while I didn't notice much particularly unpleasant (except for a very uncomfortable pull-out camp bed) I was 11, and didn't really think about it. My mum, however, thought it was awful; she says it was untidy and noisy and unclean (I do remember...

Hi, Thanks and a word of warning

We saw goofy as we were leaving Magic Kingdom to go to the Studios, and guess who we saw at the entrance to the studios! My boyfriend said "hey, hang on, we just saw GoofY" and I just said "keep walking, keep walking!" and rushed past in denial! They have magic!!!!!! And they're really fast!

    Disney Village Cinema

I read somewhere that they sometimes show films in english in the Disney Village Cinema - I checked out the cinema website and couldn't find out anything about it (of course, not understanding French was a hindrance) and wondered if anyone on here knew anything about it. I'm going on the...

Best place to propose at Disneyland Paris

The Blue Lagoon restaurant is especially romantic if you wanted someplace indoors. The steamboat in frontierland is also a quiet, relaxed place, but the castle has to be the most romantic - the gallery, with all the stained glass, would probably be lovely, or even on the balcony outside it...

    On a very tight budget...

We got some nice, large ham baguettes in the Cable Car Bake shop on main street in the summer, for about 2 euros each if I recall. We bought them and carried them in our bags until we were hungry and found a nice place to sit, although there are also seats in the bake shop. I'm also going on a...
