    rv propane

OK, I will be in Mouse land next week and I may need to buy propane during my stay. Of course this will depend on the weather, and if I will need to run the heater during the stay. Were is the best place to pick up propane near the fort?

    I'm in

Can't believe I just made resevations for Christmas 2008. Yea I know it's going to be crowded, but hey it's the Kingdom it's always crowded :) . Thought it would be harder to get a site, but on a whim I booked a prefered site online.

Taking your camper to other events

We bought the motor home after my son started competing in olympic taekwondo. Tournaments are all over the country, and I just got tired of airports and hotels. I will drive our 31 foot c class anywhere, I have driven through downtown Buffalo and then traveled to Orlando the following weekend...

    I 95 Possibly Becoming A Toll Road

Maryland is installing toll lanes on 95 North of Baltimore. These lanes will work like HOV lanes in virgina exept you will need an easy pass. The last meeting I had with the group that is handeling this said that the toll will vary depending on how busy traffic is. As we like to say "welcome to...

    newbie toilet question, haha

If I am at a campground with the family I will not use anything but water (and lots of it), and will usally dump the tank about once a day. If the rv is going to be somewhere I can not dump the tank on a regular bases then I will use a product from camping world.

    Anyone camping during soccer tournament?

I feel for you, my son competes in Olympic Taekwondo. We have traveled to Florida twice this year; the first time was in Feb. for the US open in the Orlando Convention center. The second visit was to the Ft Lauderdale Convention center, and we stopped by Ft. Wilderness on the way home this...

did you name your RV ?

That’s funny, because when we were looking for a storage lot my dad suggested we look at his Yacht club. They have slips for RVs as well as boats, so we joined the Yacht club and the RV stays in a slip there (with power and water). My kids always call it the red neck yacht club. And yes I am...

Do any of you use a 5th wheel dolly type mechanism to pull a 5th wheel?

See them all the time at the track, I know several guys that use them to pull car trailers due to hitch weight on motorhome frame extensions.

Camping with your LARGE family dog!

We travel with an Old English Sheepdog, and were just at the fort this last week. He dosn't like the fire works so we need to leave the tv on during the MK show. As others have said the stay is ok its just the traveling that can upset him. We have a 31 foot C class with a single slide.

What is your second favorite resort?

I’ve stayed at the Contemporary, the Beach Club. And the Wilderness Lodge. This will be my first visit to Fort Wilderness this July, but my favorite place so far has to be the Wilderness Lodge. I liked the Beach Club pool the best though, couldn’t beat the sand beach at the pool :)

    OT-Williamsburg

We stay at the American Heritage campground when we visit Williamsburg, we will be there next weekend. The park is clean, very quite, and provides full hook ups and I believe all sites are pull through. The rate is about $35 a night.

July at the Fort, Who's Going?

This will be the first time I have camped at Disney, but I have stayed at the resorts during the first week in July. The thing you will need to remember is to drink lots of water, take your time, and enjoy the pools in the afternoon. We found the best time to hit the rides in any of the parks is...

Should I or should I not- Buy an RV

I would have to agree with Disneefun in regards to the hidden cost of owning an RV. We bought a 98 C-class a couple of years ago, and soon discovered what the term delamination was. An RVs worst enemy is a water leak and we soon discovered several. Fortunately I used to restore cars as a hobby...

OT: Another place to go camp if interested

As far as transportation is concerned, if you are camping you can always take a water taxi to the mountain. We stayed in the loop near the camp office, all the sites were level in this loop and were near the pool.

    High Gas $4.00 a gal predicted ??

Hey Rbork, sounds like you are from my hometown of Maryland. Don’t forget the new bill that will allow for instate tuition for those that have moved here without permission. At $4.00 a gallon it will cost me $220 to fill my fuel tank in the RV :scared:
