MK Fireworks locations for using only GorillaPod or GreenPod

Yes, that was my first thought and what most people have done...my concern with using the trash cans are how easily people will stand in front of them and block my view lol But yes, still worth a try.

MK Fireworks locations for using only GorillaPod or GreenPod

I’ll be attending MNSSHP in a couple weeks. I’ve always used my MeFoto tripod and would like to go lite this time and enjoy the party but also still capture the fireworks and a few night time shots at the end of the night. So I’m looking for some ‘creative’ ideas/locations that I can shoot the...

    Disney Wooden Signs

Thanks for the info...I'll go check out Amazon now. There are Michael's stores in my area. So in addition to vinyl lettering which I'm aware of...do you mean that they also carry sheet of vinyl that I can just trace and cut out my own lettering, shapes, etc. onto? I'd be curious to see the...

Thanks to everyone who has posted their feedback, input, reviews and posted sample pics...much appreciated! :) Glad to see that this thread is a helping other with the same question. I haven't selected the lens yet, but from what the majority has posted here, I'm leaning towards the Canon...

    70-200mm lens...which one & why?

I currently own a Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 which I use frequently, but have been considering something new. The dslr body I have is a Canon 70D. I'm interested in getting a 70-200mm lens. I have it narrowed down to Canon & Tamron but as you can see there are some price differences especially...

Photographing Wishes from Ticket & Transportation Center

Your photos look great! I've made that same mistake a couple times...forgetting to turn off IS, so I can relate. lol So, I'll stick with my Tamron 18-270mm and keep it on the wider side. If you have any of your photos taken with your Tamron 18-270mm I'd be curious to see them...feel free to post...

Photographing Wishes from Ticket & Transportation Center

For those of you who have photographed Wishes from the Ticket & Transportation center...what lense(s) have you used? And at what lens distance(s) have you shot it from that location? I ask because I know it's quite a distance away and would like to capture it properly. The lens I feel that...

To Upgrade or Not...or Lens Instead?

Sounds like the Canon 17-55 f/2.8 is the way to go...would you say that it's vastly superior to the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM? Thanks for the compliment & for taking the time to check out my flickr page, KCmike!

Any news on the "no large tripods"

I too am curious if they defined what is considered a 'large' tripod. My tripod collapses to 23" tall when transporting and would like to know if they will not allow me into the park with it.
