We're a family of 4 -- with two teen daughters, and we're booked for the POP Oct. 4-14. We stayed there in 2006 and had a great experience. I'm worried that 10 days is a VERY LONG time to be there, and want to split our stay between POP and POFQ. My husband thinks this is crazy and a waste of...

All schools here wrap up around the last week of May / first week of June. In my county, we return in the fall on Aug. 11; other surrounding areas are all back in session by mid-month.

We always take ponchos from the dollar store with us to stay dry on Kali River Rapids at AK...then look for people to give them to as we exit.

My daughter is a ride wimp....but she loved it and still talks about it a year and a half later as her "most favorite water ride EVER!" I bet you will like it, too. Being out in the open air makes it seems a lot less intense compared to an indoor and dark ride like Space Mountain. Go for it!

My kids are pretty much trained not to ask for things when we are out, like candy or drinks. When we were on the dining plan, it was hard for us to remember to use our snack credits, too!

We had a similar situation on our trip in October 2006: my husband and I were in one room and our two daughters and my younger sister were in the second room. The CM at check-in suggested that we list one parent in EACH room, so that we would have all of the dining credits available on parent...
