We were thinking that we might want a little more room this time. We usually stay at AKL in a regular room. We have 2 kids.

Just curious if the crowds are heavy. We've never been during Presidents week and Mardi Gras but have heard that it gets very crowded.

Would you go December 17-21 and have a 30% off room rate or would you wait until the last week of January and go for free dining? I'm sure the crowds would be much lower in late January but it is always fun to see the holiday decorations.

We were there last year the week before Thanksgiving. We had dinner at the Grand Floridian and the gingerbread house was up.

What are the crowds like around December 17-21? We might sneak in a quick trip if possible. :santa:

What is the policy to cancel a TS or character dining reservation? Can you cancel the day of the reservation?

What is the policy on changing hotels within a week of arrival? Some friends of ours are planning to go and want to switch from mod to deluxe. We all have a package deal with the dining plan.

Has anyone ever gotten great reservations after getting to Disney? What about character meals? We usually make reservations way in advance but this is a last minute trip. We did get a few good ones reserved. I'll just be happy to be at Disney! :)
