    July 04th Weekend?

Has anyone gone for July 04th weekend? We've been lucky enough to go to Disney many times, and because of limited vacation time were considering a 5 night stay during the 04th of July. I'm pretty good with arriving early and taking advantage of night hours, but just wondering how overwhelming...

    Interesting "Rumor" About More FP+

This really disgusts me. Every year they seem to get further and further away from Walt's vision of being a theme park that everyone can enjoy.

How Far in Advance Does Disney Announce Construction?"Poly Village" Concerns

Hello All, My husband and I are planning a trip to Disney staying at the Poly in January 2014. While I know room construction is expected to be complete at this time, with all the rumors circulating around construction of a DVC I am concerned that there may be major construction going on...

Homemade Holiday Presents! Lets help each other! Ideas WANTED!

A few years ago (after stealing someone's idea from this thread) I made a memory jar for my DH. On different colored paper I wrote down 100 of my favorite memories of our life together from our wedding to a time he dropped an entire pizza on our driveway. I folded them all up individually like...

Possible Test Track overhaul in 2012!

I agree that it's interesting, but I can't see it happening based on how GM and Disney are both suffering. If they do anything at all I'd think it would be more likely that they will do something similar to what they are doing in Disneyland with Cars...

So much for the weekend :-(

I'm in the same boat as your husband. I work as an IT Consultant and often have to travel on no notice (in fact I found out today I am flying out Monday), and have to work weekends and nights frequently. It's to the point now where if my phone goes off any hour of the night I am responsible...

    Tell me about Cancun All-inclusives

Also, one more thing. The resorts do filter the water, but most do not filter the tap water in the room. Brush with bottled water, and no opening mouth in the shower! Honestly, Cancun is pretty safe. I'd be more concerned if they were going to Jamaica, or many of the other Caribbean islands.

    Tell me about Cancun All-inclusives

Even if she is the most trust worthy, least likely girl to get in this kind of trouble make sure you warn her not to buy drugs. There is a huge nightclub district in Cancun where SEVERAL times I have been offered drugs. I wouldn't be surprised if they are just trying to frame young adults...

Anyone Feel Like They are Spending WAYYYYYY Too Much on Groceries?

Hi Everyone, Thanks so much for all of the detailed responses. I should have mentioned earlier that we have a few things going against us: 1. We live in the middle of a city. Even when driving 15 minutes outside of the city, the prices are still inflated. Also, because we live in the...

Have you vacationed at an all-inclusive?

Tripadvisor.com is your best friend for the AI resorts. We LOVE them. We've done mostly adults only (Excellence Playa Mujeres, El Dorado Maroma both in Mexico), but have also been to Iberostar Tucan which was very nice. Pick a location, and then read all of the reviews and go through the...

Anyone have a Bosch 300 or 500 series Washer & Dryer?

I HATE this dryer. As the poster above stated, the dryer adjusts the time to when the clothes are dry. Problem is, the dryer stops while the clothes are damp and you have to manually hit the start button EVERY 5 MINUTES until the clothes are dry. Don't do it!

To those that work at home....what's it like?

I work from home as an IT Project Manager. Previously, I worked full time at the office in the same position, but had to relocate for my husband's job and was able to keep my position. Honestly, I feel as though I've won the job lottery. It's true that sometimes I do get a little stir crazy...

Anyone Feel Like They are Spending WAYYYYYY Too Much on Groceries?

It's just DH and myself. We're spending about $600+ on groceries. We do eat all three meals at home, every day, but I feel like we're getting robbed. We try to eat healthy meals all day, new recipes nightly. Last week we made pulled pork, eat this/not that enchiladas, sausage and peppers...

Those of you that have moved to different parts of the country

We lived in NJ and commuted to NY for years. Finally, we had enough. The minimal salary increase one has by working in NYC does not off set the cost of living. We moved to Pittsburgh, have the same salaries and houses are about 1/5 of the cost. I'd never go back. That being said, I'd way...
