When I went in September (5 of us), they brought a chair to our low level table so we could all sit together. Not sure if this is "guaranteed", we have only done the show once.

You may be so tired at that time that you might want to park for an hour :) We arrived there 1 hour prior and got the spot we wanted, right in the middle. We used Hungry Bear package. I did see people arriving all the way to 20 minutes and they all got a seat, towards the back.

For a first time visitor, I'd go for 3 days, if you can afford. Park hoppers are more important at DLR than at WDW (due to proximity of the 2 parks), but if you don't want to incur the costs, I'd do 2 days at DL and one at CA.

I feel your pain and have no god advice to give you other than trying via customer service. Knowing our Disneyland tickets were going to expire in December of 2022 (our trip was for March of 2020), we scheduled out trip for august of last year, so we wouldn't have to "pay more" in the future....

Were these tickets the Canadian resident tickets, though? Anyone can buy the "regular" tickets. The discussion here is about the Canadian resident tickets/promotion. I thought you could get those only straight from Disney...

Exactly the same experience we had in September. On our first day, they asked to see some evidence we were Canadians. I showed them a copy of our passports.

I did the Hungry Bear package and found it totally worth it (cheapest option, I believe). Nice lunch, good seating and tickets sitting (ok, on the floor :)) for the 1st show. A bit more expensive than lunch alone, but I would do it again, easily....

As upset as I would be getting yet another cancelation email, I think 50% off is an amazing deal if you go to DL often.
