We've biked at both resorts, and both are nice rides. WL to FW seems to be a bit quieter and 'off the beaten path'. Have to tell ya - snakes are all over the place at WDW. We've stayed at most of the resorts over the years and have seen numerous snakes. Good news is that most of the time...
Or you could take the bus to Epcot then walk through to the back entrance, International Gateway, exit and walk around the lake to the Beach Club. That is, assuming Epcot is open during your meal...
Good advice Conchflyr, but I think Jazz's ADR is at Sci Fi, not 50s PTD! It does sometimes take a while to get seated at Sci Fi (in our experience), so I agree with getting there around 5:15 just to check in. You'll have a pretty good hike from Sci Fi to Fantasmic, so I wouldn't linger around...
Mud, WoD is a great suggestion, but I've also seen these in just about every gift shop. I've even seen them in the resort gift shops (the shop at the Contemporary had a good selection).
Momma, we've always enjoyed our stays at POR and POFQ. If you like CBR, you might find that POR is similar in size, number of pools etc. POFQ is a lot smaller than CBR and POR and POFQ only has one pool. Also, the food court at POR is comparable to the food court at CBR (although CBR's might...
Honestly, unless you have mobility issues, you can walk faster. The boat is very slow and will stop at the Swan/Dolphine. After you eat the Kitchen Sink, you'll probably welcome a nice brisk walk anyway!
At Epcot, if you stand in England somewhere between the Rose and Crown and the bridge into France, you can sprint out the back way through the International Gateway. AT MK, try to score a spot on the 2nd floor of the train station.
I'm afraid I agree with OKW Lover as far as QS pizza. I'm sure it was just my imagination (or maybe it was the 'beverage') but the pizza at the Boardwalk pizza window seemed a little better than the standard QS fare - and it's pretty easy to get to from the Epcot back entrance.
We're gluttons for punishment, but when we stay at WL, we take the boat to the Contemporary, then monorail to TTC, then monorail to Epcot. I know, we're crazy, but we enjoy all the Disney transportation and just leave our car parked the whole time we're there...
You are almost right on! I was there yesterday (Friday) - the pianist started at 3 pm and stopped at 4 pm. The orchestra then played for 45 minutes (the trombonist is very talented - he also sang "You've Got a Friend in Me"). The pianist came back at 5 pm and then we went to dinner so I'm not...
How about Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary? It's buffet style, so lots of choices. There's mixed reviews on CM's, but we've always enjoyed the food. As far as "why?", I'd say book your meal for about 1.5 hours prior to Wishes. After you eat, take the monorail over to the Polynesian and set...
You might already know this, but Mo Rockin performs outside in the Morroccan pavilion area - most of their shows feature a belly dancer. The music is pretty good too...
Dog, we ate at La Hacienda in June. We had an 8:00 pm ADR. It took them just a few minutes to seat us - we asked for a table as close to the window as possible. We were about a row of tables away from the windows. We ordered, ate a leisurely meal and had just finished at 9 pm. We had a...
I agree with Chick. If your kids and DH enjoy thrills, BB offers the best thrills of the two - think Summit Plummit. TL does have Crush and Gusher and a pretty awesome wave pool (big waves).
