    Disney Magic Kingdoms

Don't forget, this game cloud saves periodically. Thus, if you open a Platinum Chest and you get garbage, you can roll your game back to your last save and try to open the exact same chest and repeat till you get what you want. The drop rates for the "good" stuff are ridiculously bad...

    Annual pass changes coming........

Not true. non-resident DVC members can buy the Gold AP as well. Only the Silver, Weekday Select, and Epcot after-4 pass are Florida resident exclusives.

    Annual pass changes coming........

Correct. All DVC members can buy the Gold pass, regardless of what state (or country) they live in.

    Annual pass changes coming........

I agree that the Florida residents and DVC took the worst of these price increases this time around. But the #1 benefit Florida residents have always had with Disney prices is the ability to pay significantly less for passes than everyone else, in exchange for blackouts. In fact, why else...

    Annual pass changes coming........

Yes... but the point that was being made is there is something Different happening in this round of price changes than in February. Previously... If a person bought an AP in January before the February price increase. Then in March wanted to upgrade to the PAP. The difference they would...

    Annual pass changes coming........

Your price is already locked in whether you activate or not. Your DVC-AP vouchers are worth exactly $529.00+tax at the moment. So you can either choose to use them as is with the original benefits. Or apply that $529 toward one of the new passes and get the new benefits.

    Annual pass changes coming........

That is not true... At least that's not what's being reported. People with non-DVC/FLA "Annual" passes are being asked to pay $95+tax to switch to the Platinum pass that expires on the same day as their current annual pass. The current value of the "Annual" pass they are using to calculate...

    Annual pass changes coming........

Does it matter? The tip is the same either way right? (Unless one plans to tip less than 18%)
  9. A

    Annual pass changes coming........

Yes... but... in the past the old pass was valued at the current price on the day of the upgrade (if there were any price increases). In this case that's not possible because the old pass was discontinued and the upgrade are for benefits that the user could not have used during all 12 months...

    Annual pass changes coming........

And depending on the restaurant and/or whether you purchased alcohol.. That 10% true discount might actually be 0%. IE, a person who gets TIW for $150 is by definition a DVC member, or a passholder who already gets a 10% discount on many of the restaurants in TIW.

    Annual pass changes coming........

$101ish is exactly the difference in cost between the old non-discounted annual pass and the new non-discounted platinum pass + tax. So its a flat pricing. This is actually quite unfair that they didn't prorate this extra fee as the guest didn't (and couldn't) benefit from the extras for the...

New AP to include Photo Downloads?

Here's the remaining prices missing from my previous post with the FLA only tickets. Parking is an added benefit of all these tickets. Seasonal Pass -> Silver Pass (Fla resident ONLY) -> $389 (Increase of $60/18.2%) Same blackouts Seasonal Pass renewal -> Silver Pass renewal (Fla resident ONLY)...

New AP to include Photo Downloads?

So here's the new prices for passes: New Gold Pass (DVC/Fla ONLY) -> $549 (Increase of $20/3.7% over prior Annual pass and you get Christmas/Easter blackouts) New Gold Pass renewal (DVC/Fla ONLY) -> $466 (Increase of $17/3.8% over prior Annual pass and you get Christmas/Easter blackouts) Annual...

    Breakdown of DVC Annual Dues

The YoY numbers are a bit misleading though. Bay Lake's 2015 increase is only 3.54% when you factor in the extra .0929/point in dues members paid if 2014 over the published due amounts to true up the property tax numbers. BLT's 2014 dues ended up being 4.8775 once the final bills came out.

Rate of increase in DVC annual dues

So here's the data I have for BLT with the ACTUAL due numbers. IE, so far the published due numbers for BLT have been lower than the actual numbers every year since 2011 since the tax amount had been underestimated each year since. 2010 was an anomaly since the taxes were still based on...

Rate of increase in DVC annual dues

First off.. I agree with most of the previous posts that most of the due variances we've seen in the past are cause by variances in the property taxes. Those are the parts of the dues Disney doesn't control. So really it would be fair to compare due changes based solely on the operation costs...

    DVC 2012 Dues

This is exactly what I think is going to happen... Remeber in 2011, the Operating costs of our dues increased by 14% in some cases (especially AKV and BLT)... This can be easily verified by looking at your 2010 and 11 dues statements. But DVC bragged about holding dues increases at 3% ish at...

    DVC sending e-mails to non-members???

Disney is constantly data mining thier internal databases when you provide them contact information. It's likely when the renters name or phone number was put in the reservation it match a contact record for them somewhere in Disney's vast marketing DB and they pulled it up and linked the email...
