    Discovery Cove Photo Packages Information

Once you purchase a cd you are free to do what you wish with the files. So, a large family can pass it around as needed. They do sell additional copies for $15 if part of the family would like their own copy immediately. BUT if your entire family does not fit in one pod (the grouping of 8 or 9...

How many Dolphins and people are in the pool during the dolphin swim?

Like others have broken down, there are four "pods" out in the lagoon during an interaction with 8-9 guests. So, roughly 32-36 guests will be in the water. Each pod also has 2 trainers (unless there is a trainee or guest who needs assistance), and a photographer and videographer. For humans...

    Discovery Cove Photo Packages Information

Updates and Photo Tips! There have been price changes in recent time. Individual prints are now $25, The Adventure Package went from $139 to $159, the Island Package added a 6x8 print and is now $89, and the photo cd is $150 on its own. If looking to purchase an Adventure Package and DVD the...

    DC dolphin swim pictures question

It depends what your standards are for photos, but like others have said, the places you will be able to stand do not offer the greatest shot. Most of the time their backs will be to you, or an extreme side angle in which other guests (taller or bigger) will probably block them from your view...

    Air conditioning at discovery cove???

And I remember that I have seen many who are worried about the sun wear baseball caps or bucket hats during their dolphin swim since it is 30 uninterrupted minutes of direct Florida sun. Most of the trainers and photo teams who are in the water also wear bucket style hats for sun protection. It...

    Air conditioning at discovery cove???

The only places I can think of, with air conditioning, are reception (which is far from the attractions) and the main gift shop, which is pretty small and has no seating. And probably the queue to get food, and that is also a small area with no seating. Everything else is outside with a few...

    Discovery Cove in Afternoon?

If you are checking in for your reservation that late, and it really is busy, your swim time will probably be around 4pm or later. This means you will make your way to eat lunch (stop serving at 3-3:30 depending on season), find a locker and gear station, change, and have maybe an hour to...

Orlando Area Gay Bars-Gay Sports Bars

Grafitti Junktion in Thornton Park is not exclusively a gay sports bar, but it is a half and half crowd on certain days. Thornton Park has become somewhat of a gay-friendly district and pride flags are flown down the streets. Most other known places have the dark club feel.

    Ethnic restaurants

It isn't a table service restaurant but Tropifongo has excellent examples of Puerto Rican cuisine. If you want a real taste of what many many Florida residents cook at home, it's the real deal. They even sell soda and ice cream that are unique to the culture. My favorite is the jibarito sandwich...

    Harry Potter through "Disney goggles"?

Ah well. I personally don't want the greeting, but I know a lot of fans (20 something adults, ha) who I have gone with are bummed when they find out there isn't a HP they can meet. I only offered this up as a detail someone might want to know if they have never been because Disney usually...

    Harry Potter through "Disney goggles"?

I'm not a huge HP fan but I LOVE the land. I think they did an excellent job with all of the details (comparable to Disney level), and the ride is unique and innovative. Ever since HP has opened I spend most of the time in that area on trips to Universal. I think the only thing you could say it...

Neil Patrick Harris @ Epcot Processional

Maybe you are in one of these from tonight? edit: I've been gone from these boards for awhile so let me know if I am breaking any photo-posting guidelines.

Neil Patrick Harris @ Epcot Processional

Went tonight! We got in the standby line at 1:30pm and there were 50ish people ahead of us. At that point we were near the trash can before the line turns into the fireworks viewing area. That landed us a seated spot at the 5:00 time slot, about 3rows from the back, almost center. The line was...

    Discovery Cove Sloth Question

A lot of times they do bring the sloth out while guests are checking in/exiting the park, and you are certainly able to pet and pose next to the sloth for photos (as many have said). The only concern with your chances in December is that many of the animals do not make as many appearances if it...

Should we wait until the week of trip to purchase Discovery Cove in January

Discovery Cove is typically very slow in January and you should not have trouble making reservations that week. The only issue is that the park is not open Tues-Thu most of the weeks January-February, so that can take a big chunk of availability out of your vacation.

    Discovery Cove

Not only have many employees and guests been zapped or injured from lightning over the years but a water safety employee died after being struck at Busch Gardens' water park a few months ago. The old system of suggesting people stay under cover was clearly not working so now it is treated...

    Help with Discovery cove questions...?

The Coral Reef is mostly 12 feet deep with shallow ledges around the outer areas I see this as the biggest problem for a non-swimmer. The river ranges from a few feet deep to many lengthy 8foot sections, but it is possible to wear a life vest or bring a noodle. The resort pool is 4feet-ish at...

    Moving to Central FL

Clermont and Davenport are good affordable options, they are not far from Disney. The only downside is you are far from the actual city of Orlando, it can be a drive to other attractions. Hunter's Creek is a nice location, a little more expensive, closer to SeaWorld and International drive than...

    Viva La Musica

It's also nice to see the changes SW has made with event booths, instead of all temporary tents lining the paths. The atmosphere was definitely better for the Holidays and Bands, Brews, and BBQ (more festive!).
