    Scooter in the rain tips

I bring large plastic clear garbage bags (sometimes called recycling bags). They cover the entire front of the scooter. If too much they get tied underneath. I also use a poncho for myself and a rain head umbrella. It is a sight but we stay warm and dry.

Apple vs Scooterbug vs Buena Vista vs BP

I used to use Apple years ago. Each time the scooter had to be replaced for some reason or another. They were pretty prompt with the replacements but it would have been nice to have one without problems for once. We now use Gold.

    American Airlines and Mobility Devices

Just saying, you never know where the scooter will come out. Believe me. The time they took it to baggage claim, they did have a wheelchair waiting for me upon exiting the plane.

    American Airlines and Mobility Devices

Traveled with American a month ago. No real problems. I registered online for my ECV but they asked the same questions at check in. The only thing was when unloading the ECV. You never knew where they were unloading it. One time it was to the gate desk, once to the luggage, the last was at...

    Off site restaurants

We always go to KeKe's. It is a must for us. Also, a bit of a drive but we love Tarantino's. Great Italian food.

What Can You Tell Me About Wyndam Cypress Palms?

I have stayed there many times. I only stay offsite and this is the best for the price. 4 or 5 restaurants within walking distance. You'll have a great time.

    ECV cushion question

We used to leave folded blankets on our scooters. We probably were taking a risk but I figured if someone stole them, they must need them more than we did. We never lost a blanket.

    Wheelchair

You could have used an Uber with your scooter. Of course it would have to be one that comes apart. I used an Uber in Hawaii a lot. I would just be the one to take it apart and put together (actually my husband helped) to fit in the trunk and take out. No problems.

    Scooter delivery off-site

This was a couple years ago but Gold Mobility delivered to a private townhouse. They just need a valid address, service was great.

Car trunks that fit a scooter?

I can fit two 3 wheeled go go scooters in my Toyota Prius with both back seats down. Actually I can do it with only one seat down but it takes a little more work. One scooter easily fits in the back with both seats up.

Has anyone been to Universal Studios Orlando in their wheelchair? I just read the FAQ and queue restrictions.

I have been going to Universal since they opened. When I first started using a scooter they were allowed in all the lines. Little by little they started taking them away. Also lying about ever letting them in (really?). Just recently I got a real answer of why they don't allow them thru the...

Silver lake, Legacy and Club Seville

I have stayed at all three. Silver Lake definitely.

    Booking through sky Auction

I've booked with sky auction for years. I used to do the bidding but now I find the "buy it now" to be less stressful. I know what I want and know I'm getting it.

New to Disney..stay out of Disney resorts to save money?

I've been going to Disney since 1976. Never stayed onsite so I can't compare the two. But I do know Disneys prices are ridiculous for what you get. I love having a living area, separate bedrooms, a couple bathrooms, kitchen area, dining area, washer and dryer. Coming back at the end of a day...

    Universal's reaction to my complaint

A bystander did provide help. I had to sit for awhile to get my bearings. Then a young man helped my friend get me up. Not pretty.
