Book club January: The Wednesday Letters ( post #1 for BC info)

I think he mentioned the dog that had been shot, was actually a dog that a squad had been maintaining...sort of the squad pet. I like that idea, that even though there are member coming and going, that pet provides a constant for those who are there (and ultimately going back).

Book club January: The Wednesday Letters ( post #1 for BC info)

I like to read all kinds of history books, but this is my favorite type. Just a personal experience, not a big recount of battles and players, etc. I thought it was a very easy read, not too philosophical, but just enough. I disagree with the military's stance on not letting these soldiers...

    Gay Week

And you'll be there when, as I don't want my family exposed to yours.

How does GAY days effect the parks?

Wow are you rude. I guess your boys are learning their roles in life very well. They will also learn from you, unlike this little guy, that their parents won't love them if they deviate from their parents definition of normal. Unbelievable.:sad2:

How does GAY days effect the parks?

After over 10 years in our relationship, I'm lucky I can get a "PDA" at home... What happened to that "Love thy neighbor" bit. I guess only love them if they act the way you want them too.

How does GAY days effect the parks?

Good for you, and your hubby, for letting your son be who he is! While I don't think that wanting to be Snow White means he's going to be gay, it's nice for him to grow up feeling secure enough to be who he wants to be. As far as it being too early for a kid to be exposed to something, the...

If you could only go to ONE park while you were in Disney.....

You're my type of person. :thumbsup2 I would have to second your favorite parks.

    AM E.M.H vs. PM E.M.H ???

P.M. is my favorite. We like to sleep in, so normally don't even leave the hotel til about noon. We'll start in one park, and hop into the one that is open late.

Anyone looking to see where the souvenirs were made?

You're not the only one. I have a 9 month old niece and two dogs, who seem to be potential poisoning victims. I find myself checking everything to see where it's made. I was very disappointed to see that the souveniers in the World Showcase were not made in the country being represented. I...

First time going to WDW with 6 month old infant...info. needed!!!

We went with my 6 mo niece in June, and she loved it. She was in awe of everything. Now for the tips: We did an order from wegoshop for diapers, formula, and nursery water. We had her pick the stuff up from walmart (you can specify) to make sure we got the best prices. The best thing you...

It costs more to park hop?

It isn't hard to park hop. The option is nice to use for different reasons. We normally do one park for part of the day, return to the hotel for a while, then go to a different park at night. It's also nice to be able to "hop" into or out of a park having the magic hours, if you want to do a...

Poll: Newer Disney Movies vs. Older Disney Movies.

I would say I like movies from both eras. While I can pick favorites, some are based on what I grew up watching, and others what the little ones in my life are growing up watching. I find the lack of original soundtracks in the new movies to be a big let down. After Tarzan, I can't really...

    Animal Kingdom is hotter?

We went in June and had to leave the park because of the heat. While we were on the bus I made the bet that it would feel about 10 degrees cooler back at the resort, and when we got off the bus it felt at least 10 degrees cooler. If you walk through any of the other parks, you can feel the...

    "Mickey Mania" Disney Trivia Game!

Ok. Right of the top I knew Lilo and Stitch, but had to do some research for the another. I'm going with Dumbo, but I think they used watercolors in other movies before Dumbo as well. I'm not going to post a question til you give me the thumbs up.

Book club January: The Wednesday Letters ( post #1 for BC info)

Well, I made the easy choice based on availability. From Baghdad with Love it is. I checked the availabilty of both in our library system, and Merle's Door is still too new. There were a bunch of holds on it, so we'll go with the other one. I think I'll have to discuss Merle's Door with a...

Book club January: The Wednesday Letters ( post #1 for BC info)

Hi Folks, I posted a few weeks back to see if anyone was interested in "From Baghdad with Love", or "Merle's Door". If not, let me know and I'll pick something else.

should i upgrade to a moderate

I would say go for the moderate and drop the water park option. If you are going in the warmer months, I would do the water parks, but it is iffy in November. If you stay at the Port Orleans complex you have both of the main pools, plus all of the quiet pools. Plus, there is the water slide...
