Advance tix sales at DD AMC - HPCOS

Some theaters in Orange County are selling advanced purchase for Harry Potter but I'm not sure about the Disney one. You might want to try this number to the DD theater (714)769-4262. If that # doesn't work try the AMC website and look for DD. Good luck!:D

    Oct trip to S. California

Keep in mind that Catalina is a great day trip in good weather. The ocean can be pretty rough going over there some times so bring along some Dramamine just in case. Also, make your boat reservations early because weekends fill up fast. Have fun!:D

    RV resorts

My inlaws have stayed at Orangeland and they really like it. We checked out some others that were much closer to DL (I can't remember the names). However, the closer just didn't seem to be as nice (kinda dirty) and they were very close to busy streets. Good luck with your search! :D

    Help! Restaurant advice needed asap!

We enjoy Catal's in Downtown Disney for more of an upscale meal. It's not very "Disney" but has good Italian food, good service and is right in the heart of Downtown Disney (which has free parking and you won't have to pay for park admission). During the summer Downtown Disney has a lot of...

    Blast fastpass

This is not a fastpass item but you can get a ticket for the performance. When you arrive at Calif Adventure go directly to the Hollywood entrance area. By the arch leading to the Hollywood area they usually set up a Cast Memeber with a moveable stand whose only job is to hand out tickets to...

How far is it from Newport Beach to DL?

Boy, a lot depends on traffic. Without traffic your roughly looking at 20 minutes to DL, 50min to Santa Monica, 1 hr-15min to Universal, 1hr-30min to Magic Mountain. Add more time in traffic. Newport is a lovely place to stay. Have fun!:D

    Disneyland and Vegas

Airfare between Las Vegas and John Wayne is usuallly around $100 round trip which may be cheaper than renting a car. America West has a lot of direct flights between the two. Vegas also has a lot to offer, especially if you haven't been in years. So you probably won't go wrong with either...

Finally get to see the mouse!!!

Early December is a great time of year to visit! Crowds are small and Disney is decorated in it's finest. So long as you visit after Thanksgiving but before the last 2 weeks in December you'll have short lines. Look carefully at your Annual Pass choices so you don't get blacked-out on a...

    Shuttle question

You're really OK without a reservation from LAX the Airport Bus, www.airportbus.com goes around pretty frequently and is easy to spot. It's a regular size bus with a big Disneyland theme on it. The Supershuttle also goes around, just call from the phone by baggage claim when you get in...

    timing? santa monica to DL

How long the ride will take really depends on which route you choose to take. The most direct route is taking the 10 East (Santa Monica Fwy) to the 5 South (Santa Ana Fwy). However, from about 8 to 9:30 traffic can be bad heading toward and through downtown LA for about 10-15 miles or more...

How cheap can you make it ??

I agree with Michelle that you have to be careful of the hotels up in the LA area. If you drive up and explore Beverly Hills on one day and then head out towards the beach (Santa Monica and Malibu way) for a hotel for the night and then exlore Hollywood the next day. If you need another hotel...

August or September? What's your vote?

The Sept. crowds are usually much smaller and lines much shorter, especially after Labor Day. However, you can go in Aug. with a different strategy and have a good time. Make sure that you start your day early at DL when the parks open. Head right over to your favorite rides and use...

Legoland - How much time to see?

I'd make a reservation at Goofy's Kitchen for that evening. You can always not use it and they won't hold that against you. I'd recommend Naples in Downtown Disney. We go there all the time w/ our 4 year old. They serve pizza, pasta and a few other Italian dishes. They quality is very good...

PS/Reservations: Before your trip....or wait till you arrive?

Boy, that's usually a very busy time of the year! I'd definately make the Goofy's Kitchen reservation NOW! I'd also make the other reservations as well. Also, you can make Blue Bayou reservations the day you want them by stopping by the restaurant in the morning for later in the same day...

DLR vs. DCA for little kids

We have been enjoying DCA since our little one was 3 years old. It has a very different feel than DL. My daughter really enjoys the Muppet Show and Blast! There seems to be many more street performers so we just stroll along and enjoy a lot of the side shows. There's a small arts and crafts...

    DLR Menus

Many restaurants around O.C. will fax you a copy of their menu. I'd narrow down my choices (type of food & price) and then call either the restaurant directly or Disney Dining Reservations and see if they'd fax you a current menu. Good luck!:)

    Is xmas day really BUSY?

The morning of Christmas Day starts off just like other mornings as Disneyland. . . small lines and lots of room to move around. However, by noon you'll start to notice the crowds. I'd imagine that DCA will be far less crowded. We always head over to DCA when it gets too crowded at DL. Have...
