Welcome back!
I'm the lone "amber" response. I've got brown and green (looks light brown unless I'm wearing certain colors), so hazel without blue. My son has blue-grey and my daughter true hazel. DH has blue.
My grandmother's eyes were really cool. They were dark brown, but the circle...
I love Sean Connery, but my first "bonding" experience was with Roger Moore -- he'll always be #1 with me.
David Niven played in a bit of a parody of Bond in Casino Royale in 1967. I don't believe it's actually recognized as a Bond film, though, even though it's somewhat based on a Fleming novel.
I only played one -- Perils of Rosella, so IV? -- a bit of a play on fairy tales. I bought that together with Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards.
I'm so old.
I set up some Echo devices in Mom's house and set them up to make and answer phone calls by voice. Would something like that help?
When Dad was sick, I set up a camera so that Mom would be able to log in and see him from another room so that she'd know if he were in distress.
Masters in organizational leadership (done while DH was deployed and kids were little, so pretty challenging). Currently (at 56) in my second quarter of classes toward a PhD in business management.
Currently wondering WHY I would do that to myself, because it's been a while, and it's been hard.
Prefer Diet Dr. Pepper. Short of that, Diet Pepsi.
We have a Sodastream machine now (LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!), and often just flavor the carbonated water. I've got diet Dr. "Pete", Diet Pepsi, and Diet Tonic, in addition to other flavored syrups.
My parents had just moved there from NJ, and it was my first visit out to them. I live in the Chicagoland area. It did not even occur to me that there would not be any service. And the Uber app confirmed my reservation (it was ALSO my first use of pre-ordering the Uber).
Fully understand...
So sorry! Make sure he gets started on the antiviral. I didn't get paxlovid, but something similar -- really helped reduce the time it took to recover.
Same. Went on a Girl Scout trip to the Poconos once. Tried skiing then -- had a whole lesson. Didn't really care for it and never went back.
I did enjoy water skiing at summer camp, though!
Haven't seen it, but will at some point -- it's on my list.
This is the first year I've actually seen a number of films that were nominated for the BAFTAs - Oppenheimer and Napoleon (I think that one was for CGI) come to mind. Haven't paid any attention to the Oscar nominees.
DH's National Guard deployment to Afghanistan was the longest unbroken time.
When DF was ill with cancer (diagnosed January 2021), I spent at least 1/3 of the next two years in Maryland with my parents to help (we live in Chicagoland).
And to @Threehearts, Katharine Hepburn had you down. She...
Here's one -- no cinnamon, but I'd guess at a teaspoon. I'd do 1/2 c each brown and white sugar.

I wouldn't try the ones with yogurt by just leaving it out -- I imagine there's some kind of reaction with the yogurt like buttermilk.
So weird what your memory does to you. I would've sworn I'd seen it in person and that it was nice. Then I scrolled and saw the picture -- realized I'd never seen it either in person or in pictures. Doh.
Must be my Cinderella's Castle gingerbread ornament. Sigh.
