We were at the Studios NYE 2005/6 and it closed for capacity by 6 pm. The crowds, noise and commotion were beyond bearable. We left! I have never heard of Ep/WS closing before (I haven't seen the data) but I have heard of MK close for capacity days being nightmareish.

They had time groups for Winnie & friends. I missed the 8:15 so went back for the 9:15. Waited probably a total of an hour & fifteen minutes including excellent character interaction.

If you are trying to leave from the Hub immediately after Wishes, yes the crowd is scary. When we leave we always walk through the Casey's side shops as they all connect inside. However the better plan is to wait it out. Fortune favors the prepared.
