Info. needed on Atlanta, Jonesboro area

Welcome to Atlanta! I live north of Atlanta, but that doesn't seem to be an option for you. Good luck in your choice and you are wise to check out the school systems first. Clayton County schools are in big trouble right now and I would avoid them. Hope you like it here. It's great, with the...

If you only had one day...

We actually like DCA, so I would buy a park hopper. Do DLR in the morning and hop over to DCA in the late afternoon. The only problem is *Soarin'*. The line for that is terminally long and fast passes usually are all gone early, so you could send someone over when the park opens and FP that...

    Which attractions first?

If it were me, I'd try Nemo first, then the Matterhorn. Then head over to Adventureland for Indiana Jones. Nemo and Matterhorn have long lines and no fast pass, so especially with Nemo, you really have to do it early in the morning to avoid the long lines. At least with the Mattterhorn, if they...

    Flying to Disneyland

For our first trip, in 1998, we flew into LAX. Every year since, we've flown in to SNA (Santa Ana, John Wayne Airport). It's much more convenient, less crowded and just works for us. Hope that helps.

My hubby has to have knee surgery - now what??

The machine that circulates the cold water is great. An absolute life saver, but works on electricity. I took mine to use at night when we were back in our room, but wasn't practical for the parks. I just used an icebag that had an ace bandage and wrapped it around my knee. It helped, but I love...

My hubby has to have knee surgery - now what??

I've had ACL repair/revision done twice. I was non-weight bearing for 3 weeks with both. Then, they ease you into walking, first with both crutches, then with one, then without. The 3rd surgery was non-weight bearing for 8 weeks, with a trip to WDW a week later. I used an ECV and my crutches and...

    Dealing with knee surgery

Boy, do I feel your pain. Last May/June, I attempted WDW about 8 weeks out from my 3rd knee surgery. The first and second were ACL repair, then ACL revision. The 3rd, to move cartilage from non-weight bearing side of knee to weight-bearing. I was on crutches with no weight bearing for 8 weeks...

    Legoland ? how long?

Sunday evening drives can be LOOONG. It can take up to 2-3 hours to get back up to LA. As to how long to visit Legoland, it depends on the ages of your children and how much they love Legos. When our son was younger, we did 2 days. Now that he's older, we can get through with 1 day. They've...

    checking a Cpap machine

My husband has a CPAP and travels for business on a weekly basis. He has never checked his machine, mainly because he doesn't want to have it damaged. Depending on the airport, he does get hassled during security, to the point of pulling the machine out and having it inspected, but he would...

    Disneyland FTW Question...

I don't care if it's WDW or DLR, I just want my VOW RENEWAL!!! I love the idea of a reception in the Animation Building at DCA. He would agree if we could do it at *Soarin*. He loves that attraction. We're some of the few that really like that park. I'm slowly talking my husband into it. I...

    ECV Length of Stay?

When we went in May, my husband didn't want the hassle of taking the ECV from CBR to park, so we rented at the park. When we park hopped, we had troubles a few days finding an ECV and had to go on a wait list. Luckily, they had a wheelchair for me to use, but the ECV was great because of the...
