2024 Southern Caribbean from San Juan

I’ve sailed the southern caribbean twice. Love that itinerary! Personally, I would choose the second one because Barbados was my absolutely favorite excursion out of 4 disney cruises. We do independent excursions so this is what I’ve done for the ports listed: Aruba (twice) - once booked a...

    VIP Family Fun Fest

Mousesavers has a discounted rate for this. We are going. Can enter the parks by 5 and they only sell 6,000 tickets so the ride waits will be minimal. Plus the free food!

    Wheelchair question

Thank you everyone. With all your responses, I figured out where to see the ride descriptions and which ones she will be able to do. Another thing I didn’t consider was her power chair will not be able to go on the flight so we would use a manual wheelchair for this trip. Her power chair does...

    Wheelchair question

I am hoping to take my niece to WDW in January. She is completely dependent on her motorized wheelchair. Are they usually categorized as ECVs or are they considered wheelchairs? Her chair is larger than a manual wheelchair but not as big as an ECV. I’ve read the info on the ones she could stay...

    I feel so guilty. . .

I have a Symphony cruise booked for June for myself and my 2 teen daughters. It is a graduation present for my oldest. My 4 year old is not going. He’s wild and crazy and this trip is about my oldest and doing fun stuff. He went on a Disney cruise when he was 2 and I have plans to take him to...

    Missing the ship from excursions

I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear. We disembarked The Wonder with all our lanyards. Once we were on our our excursion on a sailing tour, my daughter stuck our lanyards in another cruise family’s backpack.

    Missing the ship from excursions

This thread reminds me of our mishap when we were stopped at Antigua in 2018. My 2 teen girls and I spent the day on a non-Disney excursion. We were enjoying a sailing tour with about 20 other Disney Cruise guests and several families had the same castaway cay backpack. I asked my 12 year old...

    Disney cruise open bar experience

I just organized an open bar event for our cruise in a few weeks. You must collect the payments beforehand because Disney requires you to pay for the entire amount with a credit card around 30 days or whenever they confirm the date/time/venue with you and number of people. So I had people...

Possible deal on Disney GC at Target

My question is: I buy $300 of Target cards today at 10% off. Tomorrow I want to buy Disney cards with my red card discount. So I would have to buy more than $300 tomorrow, correct? In order to get the red card discount? Otherwise my card won’t be used because I am paying with target cards?

Wonder, San Juan, January, Second Thoughts?

I'm booked on the Jan. 14th Wonder cruise. We really debated the first few weeks after the hurricane but in the end, we paid in full and are continuing with our plans. But we are only flying in the day before and leaving the day we disembark so won't be spending much time in PR.

    Kids and their packing

This thread reminded me of the time my family went on a month long RV trip around the USA. My parents let us pack our own suitcases (we were ages 7-10) and each of us packed a suitcase full of dolls instead of clothes. My parents were not happy when they realized on our trip what we had done! LOL

    January '18 Southern Caribbean Qs

We have been to Aruba before in 2008 and at that time, we just walked off the ship and booked an island tour with a taxi. It was really neat and a fun way to see the island (if you get a good one, I think?). This time around we are doing Trikes Aruba, they get high marks on trip advisor. St...

    Thoughts on Southern Caribbean Cruise

We did the Southern Caribbean in September 2014 and loved it so much. 5 islands with only 1 sea day was exhausting but it was well-worth it. We are an active family, though. We are going again in January, 2018 but this time we will only have 4 islands and 2 sea days. I've been on a 4 night to...

    Pre-booking Nursery question

I've searched the forums and the Disney cruise website but can't find an answer. I know you can pre-book a limited number of hours for the nursery. But my question is, is there a limit on each block of time, the number of hours you can reserve? Like is it limited to 4 hour blocks or...

Favorite Port Adventure you have ever taken??

We took a Southern Caribbean cruise in 2014 and our favorite excursion was Silver Moon Catamaran in Barbados. The cat was spacious, the cruise was delightful and we swam with the sea turtles, snorkeled and had lunch and a swimming spot included. The crew was fabulous and it was the highlight...

Southern Caribbean Cruisers: please share port reviews & upcoming plans

We've been to several of those islands and this is what we did (and are planning to do in January, 2018): Grenada: We took an island tour with Stan of J&J tours (Jnjtours.com). It was a great overview of the island and stopped at many of the sites and we even had beach time at the end. St...

    Panama cruise

I did the WB PC cruise back in May 2008. It was 15 days. The Pros: it was a DISNEY cruise! Definitely had my Disney fix. The trip was memorable and it was great to see an important part of history (Panama Canal) The islands we toured were mostly interesting (Aruba, Cabo, Puerta Vallarta...
