    Trouble Logging Into Website

I'm having this same problem - glad to know that I'm not crazy. Happened to me several years ago, too. I think in my case the problem was ordering something from the Disney store online. The website links your email to your ID and so you are forced to use the same login as the DVC login, or...

The Room Ready / Not Ready Thread

August, 2011 Bay Lake Tower, standard view 1-bedroom no requests room ready at 2:30 p.m. - received a text, after arriving at noon did online check-in No room issues worth mentioning, other than some missing items in the kitchen. (We liked this room on the first floor, facing the bocce...

Just Back from 1st BLT visit - TR, Pictures and Video-Misc-Critters

"I've never done Astro Orbitor before so DD and I get in line. It's a long, slow line. We finally get up to the rocket to find that the two of us can't fit in one rocket. They only let up exactly enough people to rockets. I sit this one out. Not a bad thing. I believe I would have hurled...

    Segmenting Success!!!

Once you check in and get your cards you should have access to your credits. We checked in at BLT around noon, had lunch at Kona Cafe at 1, and the room was not ready until about 2:30. No problem.

Looking for hidden Mickeys in Ocean City NJ!!

Love the little "Lucy the elephant" on the fireplace mantel in the Boardwalk lobby. Love George's, Mack's, Johnson's and all the rest. Wish Disney could have copied some of these great food items when they created the Boardwalk resort! The best thing about a vacation in OCNJ as compared to...

Looking for hidden Mickeys in Ocean City NJ!!

Very cute. OCNJ is our other vacation spot, too. Hope this rain clears up for the rest of your vacation.

Back from BLT: 6 nights, 2 segments

Our teens are a boy and a girl ages 17 and 19. It was nice to have the pullout chair rather than bringing the aerobed, especially since we flew this time. Two baths were a great luxury as well. We have stayed most often at Boardwalk in the past and we missed walking to Epcot and studios, but the...

Back from BLT: 6 nights, 2 segments

The cost for Mickey tie-dye was $17 with a ten percent discount for DVC members. The staff gave helpful hints for making different designs. This was a fun souvenir for us. I have my shirt on today! It is a bit messy but they provide smocks and gloves. The shirts are typical tie-dye with three...

Back from BLT: 6 nights, 2 segments

The Community Hall is on the first floor near the lobby. Mickey Tie-dye is offered Mondays and Wednesdays in August, not sure about other months. We reserved in advance but they had space for walk-ins this week. We all did the shirts and it was fun for older teens (and their parents). We...

Back from BLT: 6 nights, 2 segments

Returned home yesterday from 6 nights at BLT (1 bedroom standard view, rm 7135). Room was on the first floor with a view of the bocce courts. This was a very convenient location near the elevators (for monorail access), community hall and pool. The room was exceptionally quiet. The only outside...

    Split stay using DDP...any better?

Good question. We're going soon and I'm wondering the same thing...is the potential inconvenience worth the cost savings?

    DVC and dining plan

People have reported that you must ask for a manager to get this done, so that you do not lose your reservation. My brother just did this for a trip in March. He was told it could not be done (without risking his reservation) but he asked if a manager could do it. The manager did it for him, but...

    Segmenting reservation issues when onsite?

I think this is what others have reported - it seems to depend on getting a manager to make it work. I will proceed with caution, as our reservation is for BLT standard view and so is likely to have a waitlist. I wish they would just make this a regular procedure, and not make us rely on finding...

    Segmenting reservation issues when onsite?

We would like to add the DDP to two nights out of six. We do not have a split reservation at this time. If I call back to add this, am I in danger of losing my reservation? We did not plan to use DDP, but prices for some meals have gone up significantly (Boma dinner is $39!) so it might make...

Activate Military Salute Ticket at DTD?

Cheshire Figment, you have been so helpful with these ticket answers. I read the details in the "All about Tix" sticky, but I am confused about the meaning of ticket activation and want to be certain that our plan will work. My dad (retired military) plans to purchase 6 tickets at Shades of...

Your Mission - Inspect The Room

Am I wrong to expect that most of these things should be noted by mousekeeping, rather than waiting to be noticed and fixed by guests? We've been fairly lucky with maintenance and cleanliness issues, but I know that is not always the case. I don't mind making note of things that happen during my...

First adults only Disney vacation booked!!!

Your trip sounds great. One of the best things you can do for your children is to keep your relationship strong. We had a long weekend without kids last March and it was so much fun. Really showed us that we can still enjoy ourselves and even have a conversation, things that often get lost with...

Looking at 2011 points OKW & Boardwalk - is this strange?

You are probably looking at the BWV standard view points. Those can be equal to or just a few less than OKW points when you book a full week. Depending on the time of year, it can be difficult to get standard view at the 7 month mark.

The joys of Planning the Vacation

Sometimes the planning is the best part of the trip. When you make plans, you imagine the best: perfect weather, low crowd levels, good moods. Often on the actual trip, reality sets in! I read somewhere that planning a trip extends the benefits of a trip - it's good for you. I love planning...
