Caution when renting a car in Mexico

Reading his blog was very emotional for me. On our 2006 Disney cruise, we rented a jeep in Cozumel, and a motorcycle hit us. My dad was taken to the police station and held there for hours. They kept demanding more money. I have never been so scared! Thank God for the Port Authority and...

Has any had a Disney Magic catagory 10, Level 1 room?

We have stayed on different decks, but deck 1 is our favorite. My husband gets sea sick and he does good on Deck 1 because you don't feel the sway as much. Also, there aren't many rooms down there, so there isn't alot of traffic. We were in room 1071 and we didn't hear any noise from the...

On the Westbound Repo, did anyone swim w/ the dolphins in Acapulco?

My parents have this booked in Acapulco on the Eastbound in August and they are taking my son with them, but my mom wants to know if it is easy to get in and out of the pool. My parents are in their late 50's, still young, but her hip isn't good to her most of the time. Can anyone tell me what...

never cruised before, worried about feeling sick, which catagory and deck?

We always get a Cat. 10 on Deck 1 and we love it. My husband gets very seasick, and on Deck 1 he hardly felt movement at all. There aren't that many rooms down there, so it makes it really nice and quiet also. Also, I don't know if you have ever tried these, but Ginger Pills were the only...

    Sea sick?

My husband gets seasick....so bad he was in bed almost our whole first cruise. He tried the patch that time, made him feel funny in the head, but didn't help his seasickness. After watching that Mythbusters episode, we decided to try Ginger Pills. He started taking them about 3 weeks...

    Question from my spouse....

Well...we were one of those almost left behind. Don't be too quick to judge some of those you see rushing down the dock frantically. In Cozumel, we were hit by another vehicle while driving back to return our rental car. We were held up at the police station for HOURS. I have never been...

Am I crazy to want to do the 5 night Double Dip right after the repo?

Thanks so much guys! I was hoping there would be some of you doing this! We are travelling with a big group of family, so it's my mission to convince my hubby, and my moms job to convince my dad. I'll have to give hubby lots of :love2: and some really good homemade dinners. :) This...

Am I crazy to want to do the 5 night Double Dip right after the repo?

My Dh thinks I am! :rotfl: I'm talking about the repo cruise in Aug 2008 and then the 5 night DD on Sept 1st. I am thinking....okay, we'll already be there, it's so convenient....and TWO more days at Castaway Cay!!!! I want to do this so darn bad! Do you think 20 days on a cruise would be...

    motionsickness-should I try a 3-day?

We went on a 3 day cruise and my husband had the patch and several other seasick remedies on hand. He was very sick...almost the whole cruise. Our next cruise was a 7 day, so we did our research and found that Ginger Pills were highly recommended. He started taking them a month before the...

Price of Disney Cruise...does this sound right?

I don't think it is included automatically. When we went on our land/sea vacation, we rented a car and drove everywhere ourselves. I think it's an option. :)

Price of Disney Cruise...does this sound right?

I don't know what category stateroom or what hotel you were looking at...but I just got a quote for $ 3,641 for a 3 day land/4 day cruise in a Cat 10 and staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort for March 6th -13th. This was without ground transfers and insurance. I also priced a 7 day eastern...

Cruse or DW First & Motion Sickness

We have done both...DisneyWorld before and after the cruise. I think I preferred doing DisneyWorld before the cruise....then the rest of the vacation is just relaxing. My husband, who gets VERY seasick, also seemed to like the parks before the cruise. Although on our last cruise he didn't...

Which Cozumel excursion to do with 18 month old?

We were going to do the Xcaret also, but I didn't want to travel that far. Our son was 4 last May when we went. We decided to venture off on our own, and we ended up at Paradise Beach. It was very nice, the food was delicious, and the beach was great! :thumbsup2 They have a website...

Anyone that gets really (and I mean REALLY) seasick???

My hubby didn't have any side effects, and definitely did not smell like ginger. I'm not fond of the taste or smell of ginger so I would have noticed.
