    In Room Coffee at POFQ

Definitely bring your own coffee. The coffee all around WDW is always a disappointment to us. REALLY don't bother at the resort kiosks.

Best Resorts to Visit for Christmas Decorations

I agree!!! My taste runs to the old-style blown glass ornaments, and they always have beautiful displays with loads of old fashioned ornaments. Don't forget to take a look at the ornaments for sale at the German Pavilion at the World Showcase.

In-room sitters for 5hrs - boring the kids?

We used to use the kids clubs all the time. You could take them to the kids club at the Boardwalk Villas after a dinner at either the boardwalk or EPCOT, if you have early reservations. They also allow you to order a dinner (typical kids choices of chicken nuggets, hot dogs, etc.) if you want...

Yak and Yeti, should I be concerned?

When I made reservations last week, I noted that they were only showing the current list to the CM on the phone, so had him take out the dining plan to make the reservations, and promised to check before our trip to be sure that the restaurants had indeed been added. He didn't realize that the...

    Resort Transportation - bus routes

We have never had a problem with buses at any resorts, but I usually choose to stay at the EPCOT resorts because of the ability to walk to EPCOT and the Studios. This means that 2 of 4 parks don't need any transportation. We often then just walk through EPCOT to take the monorail to the MK, so...

How do you book before offers are out?

I have found using Bing to be helpful. They are the only place I have found with a predictor of price drops or increases based on past airline offers. It has been pretty good, thus far.

What is your Disney shameful secret?

Eleven trips on property and NEVER used early morning advantage. I really don't like Downtown Disney, and have never been to a Planet Hollywood (anywhere). I've never liked the Polynesian Resort. I'd really LIKE to try to drink my way around the World once. The coffee just plain STINKS at...

Sell me on idea of Disney with no kids

After 11 trips with our DD and sometimes other friends and family members, we're FINALLY going on our own. At first DH and I couldn't really think of going without her, but then we kept remembering all the things that we had to deal with as she grew up...only the food of the month, enforcing...

    Dining plan when renting points?

We're so excited! It feels like ages since we've been, even though it really is only 3 years. We're going on our own for the first time.

    Tapestry of Dreams/Nations

I LOVED that parade! They actually took it out gradually, by not doing in as many areas or with as many puppets before they discontinued it. It really backed things up on the walkway around the lagoon, because it was done starting in different places around the lagoon at the same time. I...

Simple Things to Look Forward to

Admiring the roses on the walkway between Imagination and England at EPCOT. Hearing the music outside the MK when we first arrive. Sunsets! Dole Whip and watching the tiny green lizards near the palms. Getting a pretzel in Fantasy Land. Weather that is above 10 below zero in January...

2010 dining plan for DVC members

I have read that they continue to negotiate the plan with the non-Disney-owned restaurants and many are added by the time the actual start of the year rolls around. I don't know how accurate that is, but it seems reasonable, since the only ones listed so far are those. popcorn::

Reservation Wanted: Point rental for January 2010 BWV

I'd like to rent points for a studio at the BWV for a week anytime between January 19 through the 28th. If the price is right, we could even take an extra day or two. We could also split the location between the BWV or the AK Villas, if necessary. Will take more day(s) for lower price...
