This is absolutely correct. Anyone over the age of 9 (9 to 17 is considered a "junior" at the resorts) will have a Key to the World card that says "Adult." This is, like 2Princes2Princesses said, for park ticket, dining plan (if applicable) purposes. Anyone 3-9 will have a card that says "Child."
