I went in May and there was plenty of snorkel gear to go around.. I also pre reserved floats for everyone and ended up never using them. (again there were more floats out of the water not being used then in) If you know for absolute sure your going to use them, then I would pre book them...

When we went on the swim with stingray excursion in Grand Caymen they did not allow water shoes. You had to go in bare footed. This was to protect the stingrays and keep the disturbance in the water to a minimum. In Cozumel we went snorkling and I am sure you could have used water shoes...

My vote is for the couples choice treatment in the Spa villa I did this with my husband and it was great. It was pricey but I think it was worth it at least to experience it once. Would be fantastic for an Anniversary Have a great time
