Info on who fits/who does not - for FJ - post here if you've been

My brother is 270 pounds, wears a 2XL and is 6'3. He wasn't able to get the three clicks so didn't get to ride. My sis-in-law is 5'2, 220 lbs (with a very large chest) and she made it easily. Obviously height has a lot to do with it?

Baked...not boxed goodies at Honeydukes?? Tell me about them.

Our two favorites are the Pumpkin Tarts & Cauldron Cakes. We didn't care for the rock cakes. The pumpkin is just like a little mini pumpkin pie. Yum. The cauldron is several different types of chocolate. I don't think you could take either of them on a plane. (Mainly just messy to transport and...

    Breakfast at Three Broomsticks

When we were there during spring break (park was very busy!) we walked right in to breakfast two days in a row. There was a line there the first time for people with reservations so we walked away for about 10 minutes, came back, the line was gone and we were in eating immediately. We actually...

    Three Broomsticks

During spring break, we ate at the 3 broomsticks four times in less than 48 hours. We didn't have reservations for breakfast and walked right in at 8:00am. We had lunch one day at noon, we stood in line about 15 minutes and had dinner both evenings, longest wait being about 20 minutes. (Both...

Really nervous for our March visit-

We have been to all of the parks in Orlando many, many times in March. Yes, it is going to be packed. (More so at IOA now that HP is open) If you can affored a night in one of the official hotels for IOA and get the early entry, I would highly recommend it. If not, be up early and get in line...

Japan and TDR Report: Sept 2010 (updated through Day 4!)

About the grapes...doesn't 1000 yen equal $12.00usd? Hope you're coming back to finish your report!

    Motion Sickness on FJ

Chewy ginger candy works very well too. (the all natural kind, you can find them at Whole Foods, etc.) If you do the ginger pills, it's best to start taking them the day before you ride. I get bad motion sick and with taking the ginger I only got slightly queasy and that went away as soon as we...

Just got back from my 1st DLP visit....sharing my experiences!

Thank you for the fast answers. We're going to Paris next summer, and I'm trying to iron out the details now. The DL hotel is a lot more expensive than the others, but looks beautiful and is so close. I may need to splurge. I'm amazed that the shows are so accessible to English speakers...

Just got back from my 1st DLP visit....sharing my experiences!

Are there any special perks staying in the DL Hotel? I read a report that talked about going to Salon Mickey (?) and I'm wondering what that is? Are any of shows presented in English once a day? (I speak French but my family doesn't, it would be nice for them to understand some of the shows)...

    Harry Potter Crowd Report Thread...

Thursday- staying on site at Royal Pacific. We arrived at the gates at 7:40am, we were the first ones in our line, about 20 people total in other lines. They didn't open the gates until 8 on the dot~ by that time there were maybe a hundred'ish (?) people. Went right in for the Ollivander show...

How would you change Harry Potter World?

This is something I envisioned when I first heard they were building HP land: Have a building that looks like the Shrieking Shack or the Weasley's house, (or whatever) and do an attraction inside similar to Cal Adventure's Beast's Library. Have computer screens/chairs set up around the...

    ADP Live from Universal

I can't imagine that the lines are going to be that crazy in September-December. Kids will be going back to school. Of course opening day is going to be insane.

As feared Forbidden Journey is Not for Many

Tip for the queasy: we tend to get seasick in slightly rough seas on the cruises we do. The last couple of times we've taken Ginger candy with us and eat it a couple of times a day. Since then, we've had NO nausea. My sister in law uses it when she goes on theme park rides and it has worked...

As feared Forbidden Journey is Not for Many

If they can't accomodate everyone in the seats they have, why not have another area/room that "shows" the ride? I haven't ridden this ride but I do know there are rides that have non motion seats to allow people with back problems, pregnant, wrong size/height, etc. to at least get to see it.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Did I read that they will have both alcohol & non-alcohol butterbeer? We are beyond excited for HP land to open. The great news is that Island of Adventure is already a great park with lots of fun things to do. With the Magic of HP it's going to be awesome! Can't wait to walk in and hear the...

    Overwhelmed... going in March

The best thing we do is: mid-day we leave the park and go back to the hotel to swim/read/relax for a couple of hours before heading back to the parks. It's a nice break and rejuvenating- allows us to stay later without everyone getting irritable.

    Big Thunder Ranch Barbeque

Did they serve cupcakes for dessert? We didn't get any when we were there Dec. 18th. Is this open every night year round?

    Upgrading Tickets

In the past, we've exchanged our tickets and were given the cost of the remainder tickets toward the cost of the new, upgraded tickets that we wanted. It was very easily done.

    moved

After reading this thread, we weren't sure if we should give Knotts a try or not. We decided to go and really wish we had listened to the advice here. First, the good points- we had lunch at Johnny Rockets and the staff was great. Very friendly. The food was good too. The Snoopy Christmas on Ice...
