How long to drive down from Toronto area....and roughly how much do you spend for gas, hotels, meals, etc.?

Thinking of taking the boys for a few days after Christmas (in conjunction with a cruise) and wondering A) how busy the parks are around that time and B) what is the weather like...could you use the pools? or too chilly?

It willl be my 40th birthday Nov.2011...and I'm very intreagued by the Disney Dream...all the photos I've seen it looks soooo elegant. It would be a short family trip...2 adults (both 40...my dh's is a few months earlier) and 2 boys 13 and 15 then. What do you think? :confused3

Looking to do a family vacation in Florida next year sometime.....no specific time set yet. We are thinking of driving down...doing say 5 days at Disney(as we were there in 2004...but would like to go back once more before our boys outgrow it) KSC and maybe Universal....also consider a cruise...

So, looking at booking during the free dining deal that's going on.....so Aug. 27 - Sept. 2 is what we're looking at. For 4 of us (boys are 11 and 13),with flights (BUF), and the free dining we can get it for $2664 cdn. Does that sound like a good deal? :confused3 I know when we went in...

OK...if you live in the Toronto area which airport do you suggest flying out of? Also, where do you book through? I've looking at expedia and westjet and the expedia price is over $1000 less..........????:confused:

Now, is it going to be just way too cold to do the Bahamas cruise in January? We might be in Florida at that time, and thought about tacking on a few days to do the cruise.

Not from Peterborough...but just south on the 115 about 15 mins. to my place. Sorry I can't offer any advice though, as when we took our trip to DW we weren't living here at the time and flew out of Timmins, to YYZ then on to MCO......flights were about $600 a piece.....yikes......but it sure...

Curious for those who've cruised....what kinds of things that the ships have to offer do your teen and/or pre-teen boys like? We've not been yet...but my oldest is anxious to see the show as they sound like they would all family friendly than what a lot of other cruise ships have to offer...

Not really asking about "extras". I totally get that the current Disney ships don't have all the "bells and whistles" that some of the newer ones do.....I was more concerned with whether or not the ships looked their age.

We are in need of getting passports, so plan to get everything together this week, so DH can take them all into the passport office at the end of next week, early the following. SO....what's up with the signature part now....is it true that it only needs to be signed by a current passport...
