2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

Hi everyone, I am choosing between YC & BC. Want to ask if they still have camp fire every night? I heard that in FT the camp fire has Chip & Dale. What about YC & BC? Also where is it located?

Yacht Club or Beach Club? Club level?

I called Disney today to enquire Club Level rooms information, the CM told me that the concierge can do "anything" for me. So I bet they should be able to print boarding passes for you. When concierge can do "anything", do you think they can book "Be Our Guest" dinner reservation for us? hahaha.

AKL, YC, or BC: which is newer?

Thanks for the replies. I guess i will pick BC or YC, difficult choice, but I guess I can't go wrong with either one? How does it work, say if we walk from YC to Ecpot? Do we have to walk pass thru BC? I've read that wristband is required to access the pools? Do we get a new wristband...

2012/2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ- Closing Soon- New Thread Started- Don't Post Here

I've read from tripadvisor that the walls in BC is "thin as paper" and those reviewers claimed that they could be woke up by the next room's wake-up call, even flushing the toilet. Is the insulation that bad? Is YC any better?

AKL, YC, or BC: which is newer?

Choosing among AKL, YC & BC. I knew AKL was built in 2001, while YC & BC were built in 1990. Did any of the rooms being refurbished in the recent years? I stayed in GF in 2009, and CR in 2011 and they looked very nice and "new" after rehab. Are any of the CMs in the resorts more...

Preparing for our 1st stay at Wilderness Lodge

I am interested to know the difference between Woods view and Courtyard View. If we are going to stay at WL, shall we request main building or the Wing? I've heard that WL share buses with FT. Would it be a better option to hop on "any" (?) bus in other to travel between WL & FT?

Any DCL Veteran sailed on Celebrity Cruise Line with Kids?

Thanks everybody! Now I feel "better" for my kids. I don't know how to describe, but for the little girls (4 & 8), their definition of "cruise" always = DCL. It is kinda betray them taking them to a upscale cruise line focusing on adult :P But now, based on most of your inputs - I think they...

Thanks biggroofy, A Litle Pixie Dust & Cindy Girl! A question for A Litle Pixie Dust, how did you spent time with your DDs on a Celebrity Cruise, especially on a Sea Day? I am asking because in any DCL, we are (actually the kids are) busy with .... 1). kids club activities 2). character...

Any DCL Veteran sailed on Celebrity Cruise Line with Kids?

Thanks Fyrefly - I knew Cruise Critic but I wanted opinions from disboarder's because most of us have young children who loved sailing DCL. In Cruise Critic (esp Celebrity forum) there are more "mature" families and couples ;) Hokeysmoke - my elder child (DD8) started sailing with DCL when she...

Any DCL Veteran sailed on Celebrity Cruise Line with Kids?

Thanks Iceman93. My husband insisted to go with Celebrity Silhouetee because it is new, and he wanted something more luxury this time. I was worried because this will be our first non-disney cruise, no mickey slide, no aqua duck, no disney shows, and wondering what to do with the kids when...

Any DCL Veteran sailed on Celebrity Cruise Line with Kids?

DH, DD4, DD8 and I have sailed 5 times with DCL, and we all loved it. Just sailed on Disney Wonder Alaskan and had a blast as usual. We booked Fantasy for next Christmas and DH wanted a break from the mouse ;) He insisted to sail with one of the Celebrity holiday cruises - either Eclipse, or...

Hi disneypoor, I really enjoy reading your trip report :) May I ask a few questions? We have also booked Fairmont Pacific Rim (directly from hotel web site), staying 3 nights prior to our cruise. 1). What kind of room were you in? From your first picture, it seems you were in the...

    Modified Cruise online but GTY?

Thanks. Just an update. After waiting for 129 minutes on the phone (thanks to hand-free technology), I spoke to DCL and able to select my staterooms. The lady has no idea why I was restricted with GTY since there were tons of Cat 5A rooms available. Now I logged on and glad to see my stateroom...

    Modified Cruise online but GTY?

We have booked a dummy date with GTY room onboard, and while I was waiting (unfortunately I am still waiting on the phone) I was able to change my reservations via their website - successfully changed to 2012 New England cruise, and main dining. Unfortunately, they do not allow me to select...
