I need opinions on waterproof digital cameras

We've had great luck with Sony's Cyber-shot TX-5 (newer TX-20 looks even better). It is very compact, definitely waterproof (it's been down numerous water slides, snorkeling trips in the ocean, pools), can shoot HD video and has Zeiss optics (clearly not the best Zeiss, but still...)

What to put on our must do, like to do list?

Depending on your travel dates, Test Track may not be open -- it is undergoing a pretty extensive refurbishment. There are a few other things our crew enjoys at Epcot I see you didn't mention: 1. Spaceship Earth - even after the "updates" I find it inspiring. 2. Journey into Imagination - sure...

    3/25/2013 - "Wonder"-ful Cruise to the Caribbean!

I'm in favor of the private facebook group. That worked well for our last DCL cruise.

Best Places to take a Nap in the Parks !

Ellen's energy adventure has led to some head bobs among our family too, so it got my vote. Another good opportunity for recharging was Drew Carey's Sounds Dangerous. I know it's been years since we have been at the parks when this was running, but like other attractions, the comfy seats...

April 30 - May 4 on the Magic. Quick Impressions from First Timers...

Glad you and DW had a great time. As a fellow homebrewer, I know what you mean about limited beer selection. My DW and I tend to go the cocktail route while cruising and explore drinks we wouldn't normally make at home. Also agree the older ships are still great. Just curious, what adults...

    3/25/2013 - "Wonder"-ful Cruise to the Caribbean!

Hi! Please add us to the list of cruisers. We will be a party of 3: myself (Bob), DW (Deb) and DS14 (Bryce). Our oldest, DD21 won't be able to join us unfortunately. Like others, this is spring break for DS. Hopefully that means a good # of young teens to keep him busy while DW and I...

Help! I Need New Waterproof Sandals For Upcoming WDW Trip

My Chaco's have been very good support-wise. I have flat feet and these definitely have helped. They offer several strap options, like toe loop, no toe loop, heel strap, etc. which makes for a very comfortable fit.

Help! I Need New Waterproof Sandals For Upcoming WDW Trip

What about Chacos? http://www.chacos.com/US/en I love their infinite adjustments and they are definitely water proof/fast drying.

Please Put Epcot Out Of Its Misery!

Fun topic of conversation -- going back to the OP I would agree with most of their observations. I haven't read all 12 pages, but surprised nobody mentioned what I personally think is the single worst part of EPCOT -- those stupid stones with face etchings. Adding whatever they are...

Illuminations and Happily Ever After Cruises - Find One To Share

We are a party of 4 (DS 13, firend of DS 15, DW and myself.) We would be happy to share our cruise with another family. (linked w CarolynMink - see you all in 4 months!)

DCL vs RCCL for Families---DCL All the WAY!

Thanks for the review. I know the Enchantment is one of RCCL's older ships so it probably isn't a great example of the best RCCL has to offer. That said, every time we consider a trip out of Baltimore because it is so convenient for us, we avoid it knowing that the cruise won't compare with...

If our first-ever cruise was on the Dream...

Having been on Magic, Wonder and Dream, I think the adult only areas on the older ships are actually nicer. There is a lot less foot traffic of kids/families through the adult-only areas on Magic and Wonder. The adult themed areas are also very nice on the older ships. Personally, I'd look...

No Alaska 2013 but Bermuda for Disney Wonder!

Bermuda really is spectacular! It is by far our favorite island (of course that doesn't mean it will appeal to everybody.) Not only are the beaches fantastic, but the fact that the island has a certain British charm about it, and the fact that unlike so many caribbean islands, it is not...

Did the imagineer who overhauled Figment

I do so miss the original. It felt like a ride Walt himself would've been proud of and not just a cheap way to tie in to some sponsor's product offerings as a prolonged commercial.

What's on your "never done it” list

Glad to see we're not the only ones who try to do something new on each trip. After visiting for the past 18 years, it's getting harder to find a totally new experience. The two things we've never done are a boat rental (especially for viewing Epcot fireworks from the water) and we've...

When is the Disney Dream Due Back?

Here's a link to the Port Canaveral schedule. http://cruisett.com/ports.php?PortID=534&date=36. Or you can search by ship: http://cruisett.com/ships.php?ShipID=148&date=36 Hope that helps.

    Disney Dream- Dining

You may want to check out DCL's web site too. They have the dinner menu's posted for each of the restaurants. Personally, we enjoyed the wraps and salads up in the pool area - we'd grab something from there and have lunch at the Cove Cafe bar. Also, there is a coffee area in the atrium and...

Tell me about your tweens experience

I believe they've replaced pagers with the Wave phones. (At least that was what we had on the Dream.) Our DS would often carry a phone and text/call us when he was at the Edge or on CC.

    Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Reports

This is one of the aft balcony cabins on the Dream. It is literally mid-ship. The centerline of the ship goes right through the room as evidenced by the balcony railing (although the room is slightly more on the port side than starboard.) Good things about this room -- it is in a very private...
