    If you're married/in a committed relationship...

Of course! Every now and then, we even go to the movies just to sit in the back and make out. (We were hs sweethearts.)

I owe every single person here an apology

Don't give in to the peer pressure. Life isn't all sunshine and roses, and sometimes things just need to be told without sugarcoating.

Add me to the list thinking that too. :rotfl:

    Weekend Plans

Today we went to the Scottish Games and Festival. Tomorrow, weather permitting, we're going to the mountains for a picnic and possibly Cades Cove.

Trying to buy DD a new car

Are you going to be paying insurance for her too? If not, perhaps discussing the price differences would influence her decision. That said, I'd take a late 90s or early 00s acura integra, tl, or tsx over a brand new sentra any day of the week. ;)

California ban on same-sex marriage ruled unconstitutional!

Then don't bring Clinton into this. ;)

California ban on same-sex marriage ruled unconstitutional!

Yeah, it's completely irrelevant to discuss how individuals are affected by same-sex marriage bans. It's awfully easy to dismiss from your place of privilege. All those legal benefits of marriage, you have the luxury of taking for granted.

    Fourth Grade and Dating !!??!!

I don't think so. This was happening when dh and I were in grade school too. (We're 28.) And I was in MI, he was LA, so I don't think it's regional either.

    Obesity Contributes to Global Warming.

See, I don't think it's all that hard. (FWIW, I aim for 1800, dh 2300.) We rarely eat out though, and we avoid convenience foods. Absolutely no diet shakes or protein meals for us either. Just lots of fresh fruits and veggies. ;)

California ban on same-sex marriage ruled unconstitutional!

 Someone under the age of 18 isn't a consenting adult.

If your goal is to prevent image theft, this last example isn't going to cut it. I saved the image and cloned out the watermark in barely over a minute.

    Laptop Suggestions for Photography Major?

I'd suggest a portable external hard drive to go with it. Esp. if she'll still be using the desktop some.

Anyone else have this problem with Canon Rebel? Most of the picture blacked out??

I agree. There are several places you can rent a body. I've used rentglass several times. Their pricing is pretty good, and they have some canon bodies in stock right now. http://www.rentglass.com/shop.aspx?type=Canon

    again I need photo help

Someone could call the newspaper and ask what their file size requirements are. Then you can just resize to whatever that size is.

    Best quality digital prints...

Mpix is good. I recommend them to clients that get digital files. I use a pro lab for all of my stuff, including snapshots. I save them and throw them in with a client order that doesn't meet my lab's minimum order. ;)

 What about a nice black & white? A good conversion printed on metallic paper or canvas would be beautiful. If you'd like me to try, email me the full size file at info@nicole-hensley.com

    Cades Cove - Gatlinburg, TN

Philip was off yesterday, and it was a beautiful day. We decided to head to the mountains for a picnic. 1. Methodist Church. Check out how awesomely blue the sky is! All I did was a slight curves adjustment, add a vignette and resize. 2. Same as above, but with a duotone action...

Do you turn your camera off?

Yup, the 40D can change the sensor clean options as well. I turn mine off whenever I change/remove CF cards, lenses, flash, or batteries. And if I'm not going to be using it for several days, I go ahead and take the batteries out, so it's off then too.

    PARENTS: Beauty pageants and cheerleading

Some of the comments about cheerleaders are rather, umm, interesting. (FTR, I was never a cheerleader.) I just pulled out my Sr yearbook. My Sr class had 7 varsity football cheerleaders. Every one was in the top 10%, and 1 was a valedictorian. All were also in a handful of other activities and...
