BRV Rehab and what no balcony ?

I agree that my room should be listed as fewer points per night but at this point how would I go about receiving some sort of adjustment/compensation from DVD/DVC ? Do I file a claim or whom would I contact about something like this ? Thank You All

BRV Rehab and what no balcony ?

Thanks for all of your comments as I did not realize that 4533 was the ONLY non-balcony room and I agree that from a points perspective it should be cheaper...I'm not holding my breath, but I will reach out to DVC or DVD. My only consolation was that this was a solo trip and I spent very little...

BRV Rehab and what no balcony ?

When I checked into Boulder Ridge this past Sunday(3/5/23) I was pleasantly surprised to learn that 100 additional refurbed rooms had reopened that day and that I was the first to stay in room studio room 4533. My first impression of the room was very positive as it was beautiful with the main...

    MDE app

I am trying to setup my blue digital membership card on the MDE, but every time I open up my MDE app on my iPhone and then try to tap on the menu, all I see is my name on the top third of my phone and nothing else....no menu or anything else...any one have any idea what's going on ? My next...

    First-time buyer looking for advice

I know it can be hard to plan your Disney vacations for years in advance, but be sure to choose a UY(use year) that works with when you want to vacation at Disney. If you think that the Xmas holidays will be your vacation time, then do not choose a FEB UY but rather choose an OCT UY. Why ? Say...

Magical Express to end in 2022

I'm not losing a lot of sleep over this announcement even though I always use DME. Think of it folks...Mears actually owned and ran the DME busses under contract to Disney. Come 1/1/22, you will still have thousands of WDW guests who need to get from MCO to WDW and back and walking is not an...

Future Use of Points - Post Covid-19 Closure

I find it very interesting that DVD addressed many of the issues today that members were having on cancellations, banking, borrowing, etc...except the issue of what to do with points that are now expiring and they basically acknowledged that these points subject to this closure period could...

Future Use of Points - Post Covid-19 Closure

I know most people now are concerned about their existing reservations with expiring points, banking issue and borrowed points but I am thinking about what the future will bring as far as availability of rooms. Best case is the resorts and parks re-open mid-May which means we have almost 8...

So confused, please help, not sure when to cancel!

With an April 30th banking deadline, there is no reason to cancel now..wait it out and see what Disney does.

    First time renter question

Don't get your hopes up about BCV in December...most likely it will not be available come the 7 month window.

Do you think DVC should be a little more open to people moving dates without penalty because of corona?

It's time to get a grip folks on this Corona virus scare. It's nothing more than a different strain of the "Flu"...we've all had the flu and survived. Take normal precautions and get on with your life.

New Owner Question--Do Upgrades Exist in DVC?

I seem to recall receiving a "near hospitality" studio at OKW a few years back when I was booked into a regular studio but I would not necessarily call that an upgrade as the point values are the same.

    Renting Points?

As a long time DVC member, renting points is a way of enjoying the deluxe resorts without having to pay $600 + per night. You will find DVC members as willing to help you out any way they can and as being genuine Disney fans.

    HELP!!! Bay Lake rooms!

Book the studio and 3 nights of the 2bdrm first then go back and fill in the other night of the 2bdrm later. Studios tend to fill up first.

Does UY matter for my first purchase?

I always felt that the possible loss of banking was the most important criteria when choosing a UY, but I guess that depends on each situation. As a general rule, you don't want to book trips near the end of your UY because of the banking restriction but then again if you never cancel, then...

Tax income from renting dvc points?

The IRS is very clear in that unless you donate your entire investment in a timeshare, one cannot deduct the value of points donated to a charity event....therefore, if the Feds will not allow me to deduct a donation of the points then how can they say that a sale of some of the points is...

Best way to go from Pop to Riviera for 7:30 am breakfast?

Skyliner from Pop goes to Caribbean Beach which is the hub for all three of the Skyliners. Then transfer over to the Int'l gateway Skyliner one stop to Rivera.

How Do I Know How Many Points I Will Need?

You can spend hours trying to figure out how many points you will need to purchase, but this also includes trying to figure out your vacation needs years from now...not an easy task. As a general rule most studios cost about 18-20 points per night so if you are looking for 7 nights then you will...

    Limitations on Transferred points

I know one can "bank" transferred points because I have done so in the past, but I seem to recall that one cannot "borrow" transferred points. Am I correct that you cannot borrow transferred points ?

    Resort Availibility

As the previous posters have mentioned the Disney Springs hotels and a great value as well as the Swan/Dolphin hotels. You may also look into Saratoga Springs because even though it's a deluxe resort, it's rates can be less than other deluxe resorts and it's right next to Disney Springs.
