    Just back from CSR!

LOL-we saw "Glen" the kids called him that the whole trip. Every time we saw a lizard we told them that was "Glen's" cousin "Gary"

    Just back from CSR!

The dig site was very close, 2-3 minutes max. The walk to El Centro was about 5 minutes for me alone, about 7 when the kids were with us, and a little longer when MIL and FIL were with us. It took us awhile just to figure out the layout of our building, once we figured out the best route it...

    Just back from CSR!

Just back from 7 nights at CSR. Our trip was wonderful, but I'm kind of glad to be back home. We had a renovated room in Ranchos 7B, it was far from El Centro, but once we got used to the lay out of the resort, it was fine. We were in a renovated room. We ate at Maya Grill once and PM almost...

We leave for CSR on Monday too:banana: I called and was transferred to the front desk at CSR, they read the request that I had on my ressie so I felt that was sufficient. We'll be at CSR around 11:00am, so I'm hoping to be early enough to get our request-we want anywhere in Cabanas.

late check out or other ideas

Thanks! I never really thought about how cheap it is to add a day of park tickets, sounds like less than paying for a late check out!

late check out or other ideas

We will be leaving for CSR in 13 days :yay: Our return flight home was changed from 11am to 8pm! I called CSR and they told me that we could request a late check out upon our arrival. I have meals, parks, etc. all planned out and we will have NO dining credits or park tickets left for this...

Crowd levels first week of June?

Actually, here in south west Ohio some schools have make up days going into the week of June 8th. My kids are supposed to be going through June 10th at this point. They will be missing school though, because we leave for WDW June 8th:yay:

    Expedition Everest

We took my DS on EE when he was 5, he's always been taller than his peers, so the hight requirement was no issue. He's always been a thrill seeker as well, the bigger the ride the better for him. However, he's a total chicken when it comes to "scary stuff" he can't stand the thought of a scary...

Hoop De Doo or Mickey's Backyard BBQ?

My kids were exactly 5 and 2 when we did BYBBQ in May, 2006. We loved it. The crowd was very engaged dancing, my DD2 got to dance holding Minnies hand, it was great. Entertaining for all ages, music, comedy, dancing. The food was good, not anything to write home about. The only reason we...

ADR choices-to luau...or NOT to luau...

We are thinking about Spirit of Aloha too; but sounds like we should go Hoop de Doo. As far as your ADRs-IMO opt for something at Epcot other than Coral Reef, it was not what I expected in May, 06. The kids did not like it at all, mahi mahi was the best choice from the kids menu (DS5 and DD2...

    Wilderness Lodge Room?

I just found our room # from May 06. We were in room #6060, standard view (we were directly above the dumpsters and receiving area). But, the view of the castle was PERFECT. Every evening our then 2 year old DD stood on the bed and watched the castle change colors and the fireworks. The...

Will the memorial day crowds be gone?

We are planning our next trip for around the beginning of June. Considering taking our DS 7 out of school for the last few days (last day is 6/5) to beat the June crowds. He is super student and has only missed one day of school in 3 years. I'm wondering if it's even worth trying to leave the...

    Last minute tickets...

I was at the Disney store yesterday, you can purchase tickets right in the store! The prices looked like they were discounted at bit. I think you can also purchase the tickets at any AAA office too.

    Auto Insurance question

Do not let 6 vs. 12 month renewals sway your decision. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I worked for and insurance agent for 2 years and learned so much! I was such an ignorant consumer when it came to insurance! A few key things to keep in mind when you are shopping... *make...

Child bike - value vs $$

For Christmas when my DS was 22 months old my DH insisted we go to the bike shop, we spent $130 on a 12" GIANT for him! My DD3 rides it now, she calls it her "fire bike" (it's red and black with yellow flames). We are a bit over the top sometimes, but I have to admit that was pretty...

Recent stays at Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge cabins you can recommend?

We frequent Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg (for a quick get a way when we don't have $$$ for WDW). We always stay on the strip, I like to shop, DH and DS like to play. I was considering Alpine Mountain Village (alpinemountainvillage.com) the cabins look really nice, and allegedly it's just off the...

    Split Stay-Luggage Transfer Question

We did exactly that last May. 1 night at POP then to WL. I called down around 9:00PM to luggage services at POP. They just needed the # of bags we had and told us to leave them under the window. The next morning we went to WL since we were starting DDP that day we had to check in to get our...
