Never asked for one but was given a pretty big one on my last trip. Paid for BWI standard view with an AP rate. Got bumped to a concierge with a gorgeous view at no extra cost on arrival. Now I'm spoiled.

AKL is a great resort. First, try to ask for an upgrade to a savanna view. It is so worth the extra money. Esp. if you are pregnant, you might like the relaxation of just sitting on your balcony watching the animals. Second, eat at Jiko. It's one of the best restaurants on the WDW...

AKL is worth it. :) We didn't really have any problems with transportation when we have stayed there. The resort is beautiful and relaxing and the pool is pretty quiet.

You can get some great meals counter service, esp. at Epcot in the WS. Generally we do one sit down meal a day, but we're really light eaters and not into fancy food so it's not unusual for us to do all c/s at least one or two days. It's nice not having to plan all our meals in advance...

You will love AKL. It is so beautiful, you won't even want to leave the resort! There is so much to do there too. You could easily spend a whole day at the hotel. :)

If he's 10 lbs over the limit, I doubt they would notice. I didn't see anyone getting weighed. I'm pretty heavy, but not in the 200's. I did see a few people on my tour who were probably around that though. No one seemed to have a problem.
