Hannosmom,
Just reread your post, realized you said "DD" ...probably not a good idea to leave daughter behind with strangers...oops. I should read posts more closely. If there are others with your party, someone could obviously stay behind with her.
I don't recall handrails. Some of the entrances and exists are steep, but I do think there was enough room for 2 people to stand side by side. There was alot of walking at the end of the excursion after you exited the caverns as you had to walk back to where we began and we had to backtrack...
We just returned from our first Disney Magic Western Caribbean cruise. Had a magnificent time. I wanted to tell all of you about the fantastic excursion we went on. We booked the cavern and beach tour in Cozumel thru Disney. It turned out to not actually be in Cozumel, but on the mainland of...
Thanks everyone for this post.
We sail tomorrow on our first 7 day Western Cruise.
I'm also a Weight Watchers member who has lost 45 lbs. I still have 55 to go. I don't want to take a step back on the cruise, but I want to enjoy my vacation. So, I plan on doing the things you all suggested...
Oh trust me, we have learned a valuable lesson and will book our own flight in the future. Fortunately, DH will be many rows away, but I will be seated behind DD and the flight is only 1 1/2 hours, so that's not too bad. DD is 11 yo and has flown before. It is still annoying though. I did...
Disney booked airfare for our June cruise (Western/Magic). I printed out the itenary from the Disney Website and went to the airline's website to choose assigned seating for the 3 of us. When I entered our ID# on the airline site, it listed the 3 people in my family, but also listed another 4...
We're cruising for the first time June 17th on the Magic. Trying to pack light. Can I buy these things easily on the ship if I need them?
Batteries (AAA, AA for digital camera, Zen nano etc)
Umbrella (do we need this or are these or ponchos available if it's a rainy week in ports...
DH was reading that it might be a good idea to register belongings that you take out of the country with Customs and boarder protection so you don't have to pay duty on them when you try to come back into the US with them. We got to thinking about the jewelry that I want to take along. I would...
Are there lockers for rent on CC for storing your stuff? We'd love to have somewhere to store person items if we go snorkeling or do other water excursions.
I was browsing the Disney Cruise line site today, looking at the excursion options for out upcoming June 2006 Western 7 day cruise and noted the Dolphin Encounter AND the Dolphin Observer. These are 2 different excursions. Anyone know the difference in these? Also, the Dolphin Encounter...
I made a quick trip to Barnes and Nobles this weekend and picked up a book about Disney Cruises. The author mentioned that life vests are required for snorkeling on the excursions in the Carribean. Is this true? This is our first time snorkeling. My DH is not thrilled about the lifevest as...
My family is cruising in June 2006 on The Magic for 7 days, Western Carribean. I'm exploring options for excursions. If the excursion "departs" at the same time as the ship is scheduled to dock, is it safe to book that excursion? Will we make it in time? So many of them depart at the same...
We're doing the Western 7 night cruise. Thanks so much for the info. I am really excited. However, I am a real planner (one of those Type A personalities) and I like to have everything planned out before the vacation. Cruising is a new experience for me and I'm realizing that I need to...
We have booked thru Disney which includes the arrangement of airfare and transportation from the airport to the ship. I understand that we will check our luggage at the airport in our hometown and it will be "magically" delivered to our stateroom.
What happens when we disembark. I know about...
We're new to cruising. Our first cruise will be The Magic in June 2006. There will be myself, my DH and our 11 yo DD. I have a few questions that I know only all of you experienced cruisers will know the answers to. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Any suggestions on the best...
