    Beachfront...Kennedy Space Center

That area is called Cocoa Beach and if you want to book for a shuttle launch you should start looking asap. There are many, many private condos available for rent in that area, and there are a few hotels as well. Ron Jon has a timeshare resort there, which has condo style units. You could try...

Disney Tattoo Guy - Was He In The World Last Week?

My kids and I met him a few years ago at the Hoop De Doo dinner. He was very friendly and took lots of time to show his tattoos to my kids...even pointing out that he has all 101 Dalmations.

DH going to convention-do you go too?

I'm in Crisi's camp. Both my husband and myself travel to different conferences a few times a year, in fact he is in Orlando now for one, and I fly out on Wednesday to attend my own. We both had a free night on Thursday so we are going to meet up and go to the Magic Kingdom together :lovestruc...

Mmketeer I just love your dogs! Boston have always been a favorite of mine! That will be another thing that we will work on slowly...getting the dogs used to camping. I would love to bring them on camping trips!

Anybody ever use tour guide mike or touringplans.com

I wouldn't do a Disney trip that is longer than a day or two without TGM. His advice is right on, it's the best money that I have ever spent.

OT - Cell phone for children

My kids were 12. That seems to be the age that they start having a social life that doesn't always jive with my schedule, such as being asked to stay after school for extra help, or a special project, as well as being left home alone for small amounts of time. I like the peace of mind knowing...

I'm one of the cool kids now!!

Thanks all! :goodvibes That is exactly what I plan to do (several small trips) There is a great campground not too far from us that we have camped at before, and are pretty familiar with. Plus it's only about 25 minutes from home, so if we forget something big then someone can run home to get...

I'm one of the cool kids now!!

Hello fellow Dis Campers Well we are finally in the cool gang because we just bought a 30ft Puma travel trailer. This is our first camper, and we are very new to this. I used to camp in a 26ft trailer as a kid/teen, but of course I didn't pay attention to much of what my parents were doing...

Can I see Wishes from the Crystal Palace?

Outside on the steps, or go right up to the railing along the walkway. It's a favorite spot for us to watch.

Timing Questions for Experienced WDW Visitors

Hi there I can answer some of your questions: As for the dinners and how much time you should allow, you should plan on at least an hour for each meal. The sit down dinners may take a little longer, and the buffets may take a little less. I would plan on at least 1.5 hours for a character...

    What keeps u going back.

For me I have found that it's a place where I can be as silly (sometimes sillier) as my teenagers. They enjoy spending time with me when we are there. We can hold hands, and take group photos without anyone complaining, we each have our own special thing that we look forward to doing/seeing...

what didn't know the first time you went to Disney?

I didn't know that I should take total advantage of every single photopass photgrapher that I saw so that I would actually have more than one picture of me and my kids together at DIsney. And I should have bought the whole cd and not just one picture. Now I know better :) :thumbsup2

You know your in WDW when you SMELL...

The smell of a certain flower that I always smell when walking over the little bridge in MK that is in front of Crystal Palace that cuts through to Adventureland. It's actually not a good smell, and it reminds us of Stitch's Chili dog breath, but it's still only a scent that I have found at...

Glad you enjoyed your stay, and that the property is still great. We stayed 2 years ago, and absolutely LOVED it!

Hoop Dee Doo - Family Style?

I believe Cat 3 would put you on the 2nd level. That is just long tables pushed together...think of a one sided picnic table, with chairs that turn so you can see the action. It is served family style, but it's not awkward. My family of 4 was seated in this section, and there is plenty of...

Can anyone tell me anything about Caribe Royale Orlando?

I have not personally stayed there, but 2 of my employees have stayed there during a conference. It's a big place with nice rooms (suite type I believe they said) The only negative thing that was said about the stay there was one of them thought the room was kind of dark. I would imaine that...

Hoop de Doo for young adults

I would say that if you guys like theatre, show tunes or that kind of thing, then you should go. If you're really not into that kind of entertainment, then I would use your TS credits elsewhere. The food is pretty good, but not 2 TS kind of good, so you're paying for the entertainment. I'm...

    OnSite or OffSite?

I have stayed onsite and offsite. When I stayed offsite 2 years ago we chose to stay at the Marriot Grande Vista which is a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo with 3 pools, restaurants...the whole resort experience. It was about 15-20 mins away from the gates of Disney. We did leave the parks every day...
