Prices for Cocktails on the Disney Dream

Be prepared for sticker shock, unless you are limiting their daily consumption. Drinks are $6 to $12 each depending on what they are, whether it is on special, etc.

    Castaway Cay gameplan advice!

Definitely relax! It's not a run around all crazy port. It's pretty small in the scheme of things. Easy to walk around and get to places if you change your mind. One note... Pelican Plunge will close if the tide goes out and the water gets too shallow. Check with the lifeguards if you want...

Any other way to get to Atlantis

Full privileges to Atlantis will get you the waterpark and the beach in some cases. But if you don't want the waterpark, you are welcome to explore the property and casino at no charge, and you can even place some bets. The aquarium is an extra fee. A taxi ride there will cost you about $5...

Any other way to get to Atlantis

You can walk up to Atlantis and buy a day pass. Not sure of the rate nowadays, and their are a limited # of tickets each day. A better option is to book a room at the Comfort Suites across the street from Atlantis. A room gets your Atlantis privileges for up to 4 people, and you can check out...

    Nassau Beaches

I highly recommend the day pass at the British Colonial Hilton. We did that on our last cruise a couple of weeks ago. Loved it!:yay:

    Tracking internet usage?

When you go to your phone/tablet browser while onboard (device is in airplane mode if you do't want data charges, and WIFI is on), the Disney Cruise intranet page opens. You sign up for a plan there (it asks for your name and DOB to verify who you are, are you of age, etc.), then you set up a...

Disney Dream One Bedroom Suite Tipping

Tipping is based on a per person/per night basis, not stateroom. You can tip additional amounts if you receive great service. See the link below. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-plan.htm#tipping

Just back from Magic....question about rough seas

We too were on that cruise. I heard (2nd hand) that the crew was saying it was the worst seas they had seen in quite some time. I heard there were 10 foot swells. So NOT typical of cruising! Don't be scared... it's not common at all.

    Lifeguards on Disney ships

Fresh off the Magic yesterday. Two lifeguards at Goofy for sure. Definitely a new sight for us since last cruising in 2010

Best rates for one-way car rentals?

Have you looked for discount codes. I now Mouse Savers keeps them fairly up to date.

    will this work?

Not likely. If the swim ends at 4, even of you are the first out of the water and dressed and ready, count on 15-20 minutes for the bus/taxi to get you back to the port, plus 5-10 minutes to walk to the ship. You'll probably wait in line to board too depending on what time all aboard is. So, at...

    I really don't like DCL

My one question would be whether you have cruised at all before. Cruising is not for everyone, and IMO lots of things are tightly spaced on cruise ships. One cabin on an RCL I took had a shower that was like a linen closet. While I can see where you might have had experiences that were less than...

Question (Possibly a Dumb One) About Cruises Booked on Board

I booked a Dream cruise for December 2011 while I was onboard the Wonder in July 2010. I know I can basically treat this date as a dummy date and then move the cruise to a different sailing. My deposit follows the cruise, but what about any payments I have made toward the cruise balance. Do the...

    Being Carded for drinks?

Alcohol is not free, so they have to swipe your KTTW card for the purchase. Your age is recorded against your record attached to the card, as is your photograph.

**JULY 11, 2010*** Double Dip Wonder!

Did anyone else book another cruise on board? I book for a 4 day in December 2011 on the Dream, but I'm not sure if it will stick. I am not sure about cruising in December (any thoughts BTW?) because of the weather, but my schedule is too tight to go in summer 2011. I might push it to summer...

Taking a cab to Atlantis from Nassau Port?

Once you walk off the boat, past the docks and through Festival Place, you will walk out and see folks offering taxi rides. Make sure they have an offical taxi driver ID, and then negotiate price before hand. Going rate is $4 per person one way. It is about a 20 minutes drive depending on traffic.

**JULY 11, 2010*** Double Dip Wonder!

This was our first late dining and I loved it. The kids and I had time to relax, walk around, and not rush when we got back on the ship or done with our afternoon activities. Alanna usually ate fast and ran to the clubs, and if either one of them got tired after they ate, they just went off to...

No more life jackets at the muster drills?

We were on the July 12 Wonder 5 day and they definitely made us wear our life jackets to the drill.
