SHADES OF GREEN at Walt Disney World Resort Information & Questions

Definitely call, I received my email yesterday and we are now on day 48. My hubby had to call last year as we were going for the MNSSHP and that is a separate form that they do not automatically send out. They were very nice about emailing the forms. Worth it to prepay and have the vouchers...

SHADES OF GREEN at Walt Disney World Resort Information & Questions

We were there back in September and the bar manager was telling us at Evergreens that they are planning to re-establish it as the bar/restaurant again. He said he was unsure the exact timeline of anything, but that many others commented that they missed the additional dining option. So will...

Admit it... What have you not been on?

As many times as I've been we've never done MK: Tiki Birds & Astro Orbitor. I also wouldn't do the Stitch (former Alien Encounter) Hoping to do Tiki/Astro this trip.

Candlelight Processional - best time to go?

We did the 5pm show and loved it! We were glad not to have to rush to watch Illuminations.

Last time we stayed there you still needed quarters, that was back in 2011.

a couple of extra's - TO DO or NOT TO DO - that is my question!

Another vote for GF, AKL, WL and then BW. The hotels were absolutely beautiful and was so thrilled that we took an afternoon and did some touring. Enjoy - the holidays is a wonderful time to be at WDW.

What are we in for? January 2011

The weather is definitely unpredictable. It's typically not too bad during the day, but the evenings get very chilly, so plan for multiple temps. One year we were there and the first day it was 35 degree's. A few days later it was 70. Because of the weather there typically isn't much...

College Students park hopping 1 day. HELP!

A few years back we did the 1 day hop because we were doing a Universal only trip (yeah right...be in Orlando and no Disney?!) Started with DHS for the morning. Over to MK for the afternoon and EPCOT for the evening. I was exhausting, but well worth it:)

    Honeymoon Help!

Congrats!:cheer2: DH and I stayed at POR for our honeymoon back in 1996 and we loved it. It was quiet and we enjoyed evening boat rides over to downtown Disney. My advice is to spend/go where you feel comfortable. We could only afford POR and I don't regret my choice because although I...

    January 2011 car rental

There is a coupon code on the Visa website (must use card) for Alamo. I was able to get a midsize for $201 w/tax for Jan 28-Feb 6. This is the best offer I've found. Dollar also had some good city specials, midsize for $225 w/tax.

    Early Feb, what's going on?

The link below is for a dance group that is in WDW at this time every year. We were there in 1996 and didn't have any issues with them, except on the Saturday (next year is Feb 5th) when they have some events at Hollywood Studios. There is information on the site about where they are...

Anything going on at Epcot on 2/4/11?

Thank you for posting the link...I couldn't remember the name of the group going that weekend. DH and I almost booked at CBR, but glad we didn't now, since it's one of their optional room choices. Back in 1996 this same group was there, but the only day it affected us was on Saturday...too...

    Shades of Green

We stayed at SOG and it is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very large and comfortable. I would say the walk to Poly is about 10-15 mins, since SOG is set back from the road. They do offer their own transportation, which we used on occasion and had no issue. The ticket pricing you can't...

Switch from POR to POP to save $400?

Another consideration is if there are any competitions going on at Disney during your visit time, because that means more kids/teenagers at the value resorts. You can probably find that out on this site, as that's how I usually learn about it. A few years back we were down at Disney during...

    Shades of Green Resort Information

We stayed here a few years back and it was FANTASTIC!:thumbsup2 The rooms are very large. We had 3 in our room and were never tripping over each other. There was a sports bar (can't recall the name) and the food was fantastic! We had a nice balcony room near the Mickey head pool.::MickeyMo...

Thanks for the update. I just saw the email about this last night and was debating about it. I'm thinking I might wait it out.

    Okay, give me the4 1 1

My in-laws generally go the week before Thanksgiving and say the parks are pretty empty. Many people have wised up to the week or two after Thanksgiving, so they are getting a bit more crowded. We just got back and really only had trouble with the crowds on the weekends, but we arrive at the...
