The front of the line pass looks very enticing especially since it is our first trip to Universal and we are only going to be there 2 days in the parks. Is it similar to fastpass lines at Disney? 15-20 minute wait times??? Any advice on packages versus room + tickets is greatly appreciated...

Thanks for everyones input. I think I will wait for GCV to go on sale to the public. That is where we go every year so that makes the most sense. The space available definitely gets hyped up but we will take our chances:) I will just watch the boards and see how the timeline progresses.

I am seriously thinking about buying for the first time. Ultimately I want to stay in California for majority of trips. Should I just wait to see if I can get points at GCV when they are out for the public or buy now with a different resort? I can't afford 2 contracts at this time. Any advice...

How long does it normally take for it to be offered to the general public? Have been holding off and waiting for this.

We rode it in 2001 and actually video taped it. We watch it now and don't know what the imagineers were thinking.
