    Slinky Dog Toy?

DS is obsessed with Toy Story, and has been saving every coin he can find all year to buy a Slinky Dog toy. I've only ever seen them at DHS (in that shop across from Midway Mania) so I've told him that he can buy it when we go there in a couple weeks. It occurs to me that since we haven't...

    Shrimp Kids' Meals?

DS4 is obsessed with shrimp. Anyone know of any kids meals (QS or TS, Park or Resort) where kids have shrimp as a meal option?

Any other LGBT parents on here?

My wife and I will be making our first visit to WDW as parents this December for our son's first birthday! I thought that I'd be one of those people who left their kids with Grandma so that we could just enjoy ourselves as always, but now that he's here, I'm so excited to experience everything...

Upgrading from Mod to Deluxe, worth it?

Going to jump on the bandwagon and say that it is absolutely worth it for all the reasons mentioned. Transportation's easier, the beds are comfier, the whole experience is just amplified. It was really brought home just how worth it the deluxe is when we did a split stay between POFQ and AKL...

    BLT and beds

Nope, as of a couple of weeks ago, the bedding was still fabulous. Best sleep I've had in a long time.

    PDAs - are they allowed?

I think it's probably a lot harder for men than for women, but my wife and I have had very few problems, and she's the type that the minute we're in a public location, she needs to paw, hold, hug, and kiss, regardless of the company. The worst we've gotten were some parents using themselves as a...

    california Grill or Artist Point?

Both are absolutely spectacular (Cali Grill probably a bit moreso) but I'd take a look at recent reviews for both. Last I checked, Artist's Point seemed to be going downhill.

What fish dish at Coral Reef?

Been a while since I've eaten meat, but my advice for coral reef is if you're undecided, ask your server for a recommendation. I've done that a couple of times before and despite not being a big fish fan, they've never steered me wrong. One tip I cna give you (and one of the reasons that I'm...

    Vegetarians.....help

Although virtually every restauarant has a veggie option, most only have one. So, I'd definitely check ahead of time that you actually like that dish. For me, eating tofu and veggie burgers for every meal is just not an option. Definitely check out the menus beforehand- if the stuffed pepper at...

DVC...am I ridiculous for thinking that this is do-able for us?

There's lots of great advice here- I can tell you that what led my wife and I to buy at a similar age was our vacation habits. Even though we were just starting out after grad school, and were hard at work paying off a new car, student loans, and credit cards, we were going to Disney World twice...

Ooh! We were planning on taking a trip sometime in October, but haven't settled on dates. Guess we have now!

Yak N Yeti Grilled instead of fried??

If you're talking about the CS Yak and Yeti, then I'd say no, they're just not equipped to handle that. If you're talking about the TS Yak and Yeti, then I would say yes. Just call ahead of time to discuss your dietary needs (heck, say you are allergic to gluten) and make sure that you speak to...

    Savanna view: worth it?

Seeing the animals outside our room was absolutely amazing. However, I don't personally think that it's worth the extra money. We ended looking at the animals for a few minutes in the morning, and that would be it. By the time we returned, they'd be off to bed. I just don't think that a couple...

    Should I change our reservations??

For all of the permutations that I've looked into, 40% codes saves you more money than free dining, even if you pay for the dining plan OOP. I'd stick to that 40% code if I were you.

    Disney Free dining

They can be. As long as you make sure to make all ADRs well, well in advance, you should be able to get in most places. If not for dinner, then for lunch.

    Newcastle!!

It is on tap at Raglan Road. I really wish I didn't know that. So does my wallet. It is definitely not offered at Rose and Crown.

    50's Prime Time

Honestly, even having eaten at a lot of the really fancy places at WDW, the food here is some of my favorite. The fried chicken is wonderful, crisp, and tasty, the sides are all well-prepared, the milkshakes are amazing, and the desserts (if you can eat them) are great. Our server played...

    Disney Free dining

Free Dining is usually offered the 1st or 2nd week of April. The CMs that I've spoken to over tha past few weeks all confirm that this is when it'll be issued again this year. Free Dining usually takes place from late August till the end of September. Have fun and welcome!

    Crystal Palace OR Liberty Tree

The quality of food at CP has decreased significantly over the past few years. It's gotten to the point that I can't recommend it to anyone.

    Pop Century Review.....my experience.

I think this was spot-on... especially about the hard beds. Pop definitely has its good points and bad points, but really isn't a bad option, especially considering how much money one can save by staying there.
