I just had to chuckle at you calling Universal employees "cast members" :blush:

The tickets have to be scanned through the admission gates in order to be "activated" and valid to recieve Fast Passes. I tried doing what you are suggesting once, and the FP machine spit out a ticket that said "Invalid Admission Ticket" or something like that.

Why don't you just buy flip-flops before you leave for your trip? You will save a lot of money (seeing as how you can get flip-flops for about $5 at Walmart, Old Navy, Payless, etc). Unless you had your heart set on a Disney pair. Just seems to make more sense to buy them before your trip...save...

You can go to your local store that sells Crocs, try them on to find out your size and what color you would like, and then check out Ebay. Ebay can have some really good deals, and most of them are brand new with the tags still attached. Even after shipping, you will save vs. buying them...

The Laughing Place Store marks up their clothing a significant amount over the prices found in the Disney parks. The rest of their merchandise, however, is comparable to the park prices.
