    Legacy tiles at epcot.

Does anyone know when the end date for the Leave a Legacy monuments is? I know when we bought our tile we were told that it would be around for a long time but wasn't permanent.

What Rides/Shows Do You Always Skip?

Frankly, Jungle Cruise. I rode it my first couple of trips and don't really feel a need to go again.

What Lighted Toys Are Available Right Now And What Is The Cost?

I'd love more info on these too! We'll be there next week, and I'd like to get a light-up toy for my toddler to play with during dark rides (HM, PotC, etc.). So I'd like to be able to plan ahead! Thanks!!

Mickey Santa Hats - childish or child at heart?

I agree---Cool, Child at Heart! Unfortunately, I have several coworkers who disapprove of any kind of character apparel. We have casual Fridays at my office, and I'll wear a Disney shirt if I choose, but I've definitely overheard conversations about how such clothing is "inappropriate" for...

    tipping mousekeepers?

I just wanted to point out that you don't need to tip daily to get towel animals and other niceties. In my family's previous 3 trips (since 2000), we've only tipped at the end of the trip, and we've still received towel animals and such. But I have decided to switch to tipping daily in case...

    character meals for boys

We should all email these suggestions to Disney! I think it would be great (and not just for the boys) to have character meals of the following: Toy Story Monsters, Inc. Finding Nemo The Lion King The Incredibles My son would get such a kick out of a Monsters Inc or Finding Nemo...

PSA for those with small kids and Christmas stockings

We own a beautiful cast-iron Pooh stocking holder...Now that my son is 1 1/2, we opted to tie the stockings to our stair rail with ribbons instead of using the stocking holder...specifically because of this. Sure there are lots of holiday hazards, But this is a potentially serious one that's...

    CMs saying Merry Christmas?

What did the CMs say? Did they at least say Happy Holidays? I wouldn't expect them to specifically say Merry Christmas because, as you say, you don't know what their religious backgrounds are, but I hope they gave you some kind of response, even if it was just "Enjoy your stay!"

To hop or not to hop?

We always get Hoppers too...for the flexibility. We always stay at WL and usually take a mid-day break. So it's nice to have our options open. On our most recent trips, we've probably park-hopped 4 out of 5 days. (Sometimes just to go to Epcot after dinner for Illuminations...)

Pal Mickey -- Tell me about him!

I'm definitely planning to get one during our trip this month! I can't wait! (And it's more for me than for my 19 month old!) I just did a search here and found lots of threads about Pal Mickey, including sites where you could get it for a discounted price. But I'm waiting until we get to...

Just back with 4yo and 19mo DDs mini-report

Thanks for the report! I'll be there in a little over a week with my 19 month old. Can't wait!!!

Have you ever had a shock?

Not so much shocking as unexpected: DH and I were at MK in Nov 2003, and one of our favorite rides is the TTA. The crowds were light when we went, and TTA was always a walk-on ride. Once there was some large group of kids (around age 10? 12?) that got on the TTA about a train length in...

    Help! Leaving in 5 days!!

Lots of pixie dust to you and your family! :wizard: My 1-yr old has asthma that flares when he gets a cold. Right now he has a cold but it seems to be under control. I'm hoping we can keep it that way since we're doing our single-digit dance now. Here's hoping for good health very...

    Mousekeeping

In past years we've left one big tip at the end of the trip. It's never affected the service we've received...we've gotten towel animals some nights and not others, but the room has always been well-cleaned. This time, though, we're bringing envelopes for each day. It makes sense that...

    Restaurants without reservations?

I agree with previous posters that it would be best to make reservations for one meal a day. For us, breakfast isn't a big thing so we don't make breakfast ADRs...at most, one morning we'd go to Kona Cafe at the Poly for their Tonga Toast, and I don't think we've ever had to make an ADR for it...

    Are refillable mugs worth it?

I would say they're ABSOLUTELY worth it, but it probably does depend on how far away you are from the food court/refill stations! We've stayed at the WL 3 out of our last 4 times, and we've gotten refill mugs every time. (Well, ok, actually we've only bought mugs on two trips because, on the...

Where to dine for a nice lunch

Sorry for barging in...but would you recommend an ADR for lunch at Le Cellier? I know an ADR would be a necessity for dinner, but can you just walk up for lunch? My DH and I would love to try it, but we already know that it's booked for the nights we'll be there. Thanks!

CRAZY. . ticket and stroller ?

When I was there in 2002, the hotel was able to consolidate leftover days on park tickets onto my room key (WL). Just ask. I don't know about the strollers, but since each park has its own stroller rental area, I doubt you can rent from your hotel or DTD. Like the pp said, though, you can...
