That made me giggle. I got my DD's first passport when she was 18 months old. She was strapped in her pushchair with a sheet of white paper behind her to get the white background and I think we'd told her not to smile -she looked sooooooooooooooooooooo sad it was untrue.

That was one of the reasons I applied for the Nationwide flex account and their Visa. I don't see why I should have to pay more for using my cards abroad! I didn't realise I did pay more till I saw an ad for the Nationwide then checked with my normal Visa card.

I love unpackaged holidays! I've never experienced any problems while abroad done trips to DLP, Rome, New York, Brugges etc. I do take the booking agents number with me just incase I get there to find my room isn't booked -never happened yet! Check out rooms etc if you're staying off site...

I applied for a Nationwide card yesterday due to their not charging extra for using it abroad.

I was just wondering where do people buy their dollars from? I've seen several online companies etc eg travelex M&S etc and wondered where the best deals might be?
