    Public library use up.

The library where I work has had a huge increase in circulation due to the economy. We have a lot of people who come in to use our career center and are there all day job hunting. Lots of increase in DVD circulation too. To the librarian who is not able to get TV/masterpiece theatre dvds--We...

    difference bewtween MP3 and ipod

I love my iPod. I have shuffle, which is great for taking walks, etc, and a regular one that I listen to at work. My husband was very anti-iPod, so he bought a creative zen, but could never get it to work, so he now has an iPod as well and has no problems with it. I have a Mac & he has a PC...

Thanks everyone for posting these pictures! We leave in a little over 2 weeks, and I can't wait!! Even my husband who isn't really thrilled about this trip (first visit!) thinks that he might have a nice time relaxing at the resort now that he's seen all the pictures! :goodvibes Sarah :)

Anyone going through menopause at 30??

I am going through this as well, at age 35. Night sweats, etc. The dr put me on the pill to regulate my periods, but I've still got the night sweats. Scary, as we don't have children yet. I'm planning to call the dr again and see if I can get some real answers as to what is going on.

    tendonitis

I have this..it's very painful! I find that cold works best for me, along with taking aleve at night. I don't feel like the aleve works at the time, but I find when I take it my arm/wrist is much less stiff in the morning than when I don't. I have had 2 steroid injections in my elbow, which...

Have you ever gone to a function where you had to PAY for soda???

I'm from CT, and have never been to a wedding where I had to pay for drinks. I would have been amazed to show up at a wedding reception have to pay for water or soda. I can understand alcohol, but not soda or even water!

    Audio books for ipod?

I also use audible.com and I work in a library!! Some of the audio books we buy for the library can cost over $100 each, so I think the audible rates are pretty reasonable if you have a membership.

Just when you thought it couldnt get any creepier...

The Burger King, and now the Burger King Jr., creep me out. My husband, however, loves the commercials. He even had to have the Burger King x-box game that came out a year or so ago.

    Does your library do this??

The library where I work sends lots of letters and makes lots of phone calls before we list a book as "lost", and even then if the patron returns it before we have replaced it, it goes back onto the shelf. A book has to be out for quite awhile until it makes "lost" status. I'm surprised your...

Town in Conn. not on the map, and haunted?

I think Dudleytown is on rte 7 on the way up to Kent, if anyone is familiar with that area. I could be wrong--I don't get all the way up there that often.

Another library staffer here-- Yes, please support your local library's Summer Reading Program!! Every library does the program a different way, but usually there are prizes, special programs, and neat displays. If your library is doing the "official" program the theme this year is "Get a Clue...

OT- I am quitting my job after 1 day

I had a short-lived career (4 days) as a concession/ticket person at our local movie theatre, a huge chain. I can absolutely say that it was the worst job I have ever had. I should have known what ws coming when the orientation started at 2am. We never got breaks, and I am fairly certain...
