    LAX to Disneyland Car service

I just booked Karmel shuttle based on reviews and recs from the DH site itself - 185 for private sedan one way, and 125 for group van back to the airport. $300 RT before tip. I did some extensive research and nothing had great reviews or had a great rate, so I went with the Disney recommend...

    Remy Passholder Preview

I am not a DVC or a Passholder, but I will be in Disney during those days. I wonder if someone is not going if they would allow someone else to use their reservation? We have reservations in the park the 21st and 23rd of September..... I would love to be able to preview Remy while we are...

    20th anniversary trip (516-5/23) doing a lot!

Congrats on your anniversary! We are staying AoA May 7-10, so I can report back and let you know any details that stand out. You didn't mention if you were renting a car? I have been reading that Skyliner lines can be very long at park open and close, especially at the hub at CBR. If no...

    Best Tip or advice

When you are at Disney, everything takes much longer than you think it should. Plan for 60-90 mins transportation anywhere. Also, plan for some down time or breaks - you will need them! Wearing a mask in the heat is much harder than I thought it would be. If you can, plan for cooler weather...

    Mythos questions

We ate at Mythos back in November, and the outdoor section was partially covered. So depending on where you were seated, you may be in partial or full sun and/or rain, depending on the weather. Indoors, they were distancing tables so we choose to eat indoors and enjoy the a/c.

    Which Tix ?

This may be the most clear and succinct answer to anyone who is pondering what type of ticket to buy nowadays. I have been looking for months, and this sums it up nicely. Great answer Greg!

    Upgrade ticket vs buying AP?

Not the way I'm understanding the Universal website. If you buy the AP by Sept 30, you are receiving Oct-Dec as the "free" - essentially buying a 2021 AP they let you start using early.

    Upgrade ticket vs buying AP?

Is there a reason to purchase a ticket, enter the gate, then upgrade vs. buying the AP outright? It seems to me you pay the same price regardless. I am thinking about purchasing the AP online by Sept 30 to get the extra 3 months included. Am I missing something? We are usually day trippers...

Cheat, Starve, Demand "the free water."

Go to Parks early, take a midday break for a nap or a swim, head back to parks for the evening, cause there is something magical about the parks at night! Drink water like it's your job - from when you wake to when you go to sleep. Eat light - I prefer kids meals, because you can get a veggie or...

Agonizing - Grands 1st trip to Disney - Pop or Swan?

Thank you all so much for your responses! I have decided to keep the Pop resev after much thought. A Disney trip for 6 is so much work and planning, I just could not reason to spend the extra time and money stressing when Disney makes it easy. I feel like I would rather spend the extra money...

Agonizing - Grands 1st trip to Disney - Pop or Swan?

Grands are 7 and 9, both boys, both hyper, until they are not....you know how it is! I'm looking to avoid meltdowns as much as possible, I just want them to have a magical time. Thank you for all your insights! Keep 'em coming! I'll post later when I decide which one to keep!

Agonizing - Grands 1st trip to Disney - Pop or Swan?

We are taking my daughter and grandchilden(boys, ages 7 and 9) for their first trip to Disney in October. Currently holding a Pop and Swan ressie, both for two connecting rooms. I am torn if it is worth the extra $1200, and worth all the extra planning I will have to do for loss of ME, Magic...

Extra Night or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas?

I would say it depends on what is most important to you; Rides or Character Meets. The party has so many exclusive meets, and I loved the parade. Typically, we don't do parades or a lot of meets, ie, standing in line. During the party, the parade is a must do in my book. If you are going to...

    Planning for 2019

We are planning another trip in Jan 2019 - taking my daughter, her husband and 2 boys - who will be 10 and 8 by that time. Already trying to investigate room options - whether adjoining, suite, or even DVC villa. I am already worried about how much it is going to cost! It gets harder and...

    "Pooh sized" at Hollywood Studios

A tip for rides that have actual seat belts - (like ToT) - BEFORE you sit down, pull the lap belt all the way out - hold onto it, then fasten it. Much easier that way, and allows you to ensure you have all the available room in the belt. Several Pooh size members in my family have never had...

    Please help allay my fears...HHN

We went a few years ago, and I had these same fears. I like horror movies, but not a fan of being scared IRL. My tactic was "fake it till you make it" - I acted like none of the scare actors bothered me. If they approached me I would speak to them directly, like "Wow - your makeup is awesome...

    August 2017 Disneyland Check-In & Chat!

Now I have changed my hotel reservation for the 3rd time. Now we are at the Hyatt House - August 23-26. I was worried about the quality of the beds at Candy Cane, I have back issues and most hotels we stay hurt my back. I hope this is the correct choice. It's so difficult in CA, you don't...

    August 2017 Disneyland Check-In & Chat!

We are going too! August 23-25, with 2 day park hoppers, staying at the Candy Cane Inn. First trip for me to Disneyland, after many to DW in FL. This is the first leg of our 10 day trip in CA, heading up the coast after. Very excited! I am just now looking at park strategies and trip...
